Batman corrupted again ? When was he corroupt in the first place.

Catwoman is here because she is the antithesis of Rachel . Rachel could not understand or live with the duality . Catwoman enjoys it . I do think Bruce will get her to be a bit more on the side of good at the end . The reverse of Harvey .

Corrupt being that he was unable to make a distinct choice between Batman or Bruce. His idea's of justice aren't corrupted, its just his thought process and his inability to make a distinction between his life as Bruce and his life as Batman. He can't let his emotional ties as Bruce get in the way of Batman. That's what Catwoman will help him do in this movie, learn to separate his two lives, like she does.

This supposes that something Rachel said was wrong.

She was write Batman took over Bruce. There really wasn't a duality in TDK. She surely understood there could have been a duality but, saw that Bruce was mistaken to think he actually had one.

This is your mask now

She realizes he wants a duality but hasn't created one. Bruce left her and Batman came back.

That being said, I think Catwoman will have a good separation of herself and Selena; a true Duality, somewhat of the ultimate ideal of how to live this kind of life.

Her example of how to keep Selena from being her mask might inspire Batman to realize that Bruce Wayne is in there and is a REAL person, not a front for Batman.

I doubt Catwoman will be a vehicle to further the spiral away from Bruce.

Eh I think you mean he is going to liearn to live with the duality as he Catwoman?Selena teaches him to embrace it unlike Rachel .

Yes, he will be able to live both lives separately. He can't be Bruce and Batman at the same time, they need to be apart. Bruce will learn from Selena's duality, and hopefully, do the right thing as Batman and do the right thing as Bruce, without one life influencing the other.

Both I suppose because it sticks to the guidelines of both threads.

In the Info Thread you'd be discussing your reactions to the certain piece of news.

Here you can go into further speculation based on that snippet of news. :)

WOW is that dumb or what?

doesn't make sense. Catwoman stands for something Batman has sworn to stop.
She steals for the thrill.

Yes, Batman will try to stop Catwoman. But Bruce will not get Selena arrested for her acts as Catwoman. They are both living two different lives, and those lives shouldn't be mixed together.

She still for the thrill.

What

this is a very plain way of viewing a very complex character and I cannot agree with it because it's over simplified.

So Joblo was full of it when they tweeted about the Catwoman viral?

thats fine.

I am more intrested in how Batman relates to a theif, Long term. Regardless if he loves her. Everything he is, and stands for is justice.

Have you forgotten he commits crimes all the time. he's not exactly innocent, and choosing Rachel over Harvey had nothing to do with Justice or fairness but, rather selfishness.

'm not saying that he'll agree with Catwoman's actions but, her way of going about what she does is uniquely similar to how Batman approaches fighting crime.

He can still learn something from her even though she's a criminal; he's learned from some terrible people before.

Her ability to turn Catwoman off when she's Selena and Turn Selena off when she's Catwoman is a skill Bruce/Batman could REALLY use

Just wanted a quick opinion from you guys a bit off topic. I have TDK poster with some cast and crew autographs on it. Michael Anthony Hall is coming to Wizard World in Chicago and I was debating on getting his sig on the poster. Is he TDK poster worthy?

Which comment? Your comment just now?
Hilarious. Look, there's nothing dumb about two threads serving a similar purpose, if I wanted to speculate on Hardy's role for example based on a Bane image that had just released in the Info Hunters thread, I should be allowed to do that, and that wouldn't render the Tom Hardy as Bane thread obsolete. All it would mean is that I took the topic to a different place at the relevant time. If it follows the guidelines of both threads it can be posted in either.

I don't want to say if this thread is dumb or not. It's just confusing. Too much of an overlap, but I don't mind it.

And yes, get AMH's autograph!! Years ago I had a BB poster signed by the cast which I eventually (don't ask, long story). I really wish I had a signed TDK poster instead.

I still stand by my belief that Catwioman will start off as a thief but become an ally by the end of the film . Kinda of like how she has tramnsformed over the years . I

I wouldn't be opposed to that, but I would hope it's handled well.

Keeping Gotham safe is what he stands for. The end justifies the means in his eyes - so when he destroys peoples property and drags innocent bystanders into complex situations that result in their deaths or madness he can rationalize it by saying he is "keeping Gotham safe". If he was about justice he would turn himself over to the authorities immediately and face the music for his crimes. But he does not, because "Gotham Needs Me."

He has moved beyond simple revenge for his parents deaths, and instead has taken up the mantle his parents left behind, carrying on their work so that their lives work would not be destroyed with their deaths.

The goal is not to live forever, but to leave behind something that does.

"Eventually" what? Sold?

I agree, I hope nothing I said implied otherwise.

Not that I doubt Nolan, but I hope it's handled nothing like Harry becoming Peter's ally in Spider-Man 3.

I agree with most of what you said, but I don't think Batman is carrying on Bruce's parent's work. After his parents died, that's when Gotham began to spiral downward. Bruce ran away from those problem, and went to find a way to deal with them. As Batman, he is cleaning up the mess that he was unable to stop, because Bruce wasn't able to continue what Thomas had started. I think that in TDKR, Bruce will learn to live separately from Batman and begin to continue what his father left behind. He will continue the philanthropy work as Bruce, and finish cleaning up the crime as Batman.
