my first post was not said with any malice to anti-sports fans but you're response was making it out to be that way.

does it really matter if i think it's a bad thing? i brought up my reasoning why i thought people were against a football scene. that's it.

Either way you're expressing an opinion based on the little information that's being provided to you and the last time I checked, there's no such thing as a right or wrong opinion. Technically it's the same thing Like I said the idea doesn't sound too sexy to me but I'm open to seeing how it turns out.

So, Bane blows up a stadium. Wonder why. Bruce is probably there; perhaps he dons the Batsuit and some point and pursues/faces Bane, though he would likely get away. The climactic Batman/Bane scene would likely happen toward the end.

Most of my Batman experience comes from The Animated Series, and I distinctly remember a villain's plot (I think it was Scarecrow) centered around a football game. There was a whole showdown with Batman in the catacombs of the stadium or something like that as I recall. From what I can remember it was pretty cool, actually.

I wouldn't mind a sequence like that in TDKR. A change of scenery is always nice, imo.

Yeah, it amazes me that it's not on DVD but the movie is. When I was a kid I didn't like the West series but nowadays I think it's quite entertaining. I mean come on..... Batman and Joker in a surfing contest! Forget about the blue grannie panties, he's wearing yellow boxers!

My curiosity for this scene is growing, since it seems Bane, or someone, will blow up this football stadium during a game. That's a pretty big attack. If he succeeds, it could easily cause more deaths then the Joker did in TDK.

i can't imagine how football would appear in a Batman movie. It's a bold move. The perfect Gotham-like team would be something along the lines of the Baltimore Ravens. Edgar Allen Poe based and purple. Wonder how they'll approach the Gotham team.
