Gosh dayum, Nadal bageled DelPo in the 2nd set!! Seriously, his forehand and backhand is hitting at will.

Although I'm a Nadel fan, I was really rooting for del Potro here. Would have loved to see him win US Open again. Don't know why, he's awfully sympathetic, so it Kind of pained me to see delpo lose.

However I have no problem seeing Nadal beat Anderson now, ...Vamos! :woot:

Woah! Anderson is a giant!

And there it is finally a 3rd US Open win for Rafa.
Second Gslam win this year (not just clay;)), and back on top!

Congrats Nadal!! Now try to get that Australian Open numbers up. I know he was close a few times, but he sure can do it!

Congrats to Nadal! Every time he wins a tournament at this age outside of clay it really adds to his legacy for me.

What's with Muguruza retiring so many matches lately after winning the Wimbledon?

Congrats Federer for a complete turn around this year. Beating Nadal in Shanghai 6-4, 6-3. He's 4-0 against him this year.

Awesome from theFrd and what happened to Mugu? How many times has she retired?

Jana Novotna: Former Wimbledon champion dies at age of 49

She was a three-time finalist, losing first to Steffi Graf in 1993 and then to Martina Hingis in 1997. She finally won in 1998.

In 1993, she was crying after her loss and had to be consoled by the Duchess of Kent.

Just heard about that. Very sad and so young. R.I.P. :csad:

Yes. I cheer for Kerber and Djokovic :yay:

Djokovic is coming off from a long hiatus. But then again, who knows? I think Nadal is going to cruise easily until the QF.

As for the womens' I could see Sharapova, Kerber, Halep. I was going to add Wozzy, but nah, lol.

Im a Little but afraid of Hsieh. I think Radwanska is the easier one. With Hsiehs variable Play and offensive hits, Kerber has to be focused all the time and Hsieh will use every passive return in the middle.

I just saw that Hsieh knocked out Muguruza? :csad:

Any idea why?

No idea really. On some days, she shows up and has a good tournament. But on some others, she disappears.

She won Wimby and Cincinnati last year. French Open the year before that. I thought she's starting to rise up.

The reason is simple I think. Brainless Ball Bashers Performance depends on momentum and good Service. If there is no good serve, there is not much more.

Kerber has to manage Keys now. Madion is an amazing form it seems, but her opponents were very weak until now. Kerber on the other Hand could be tired after 13 Matches in 2018.

I didn't think Mug is a brainless ball basher. Yes, she hits the ball harder and takes more risk shot than many of the WTAs, but overall she has a nice balance to her game. Her serve is solid along with good movements and baseline hitting.

Kerber is simply a much better player overall than Madison. The only way Madison wins is how she capitalizes on key points, otherwise she's finished.

Right now I am kind of tempting to root for Wozniacki to win the whole thing. Despite my past claims of "pushniacki". But if she continues to stay in form and not drop, I can see her win her maiden slam. But we'll see.

Kerber Shocks Keys with 61 62.
Now against Halep.

The other Match is Mertens-Wozniacki. Go Mertens!

Strange how varied her performances can be. Got to be more consistent IMO to be regarded as one of the best. Hope she achieves that over the next few years.
