Thiem is through.

Looks like DelPo is faltering, and we will get a Nadal x Thiem rematch.

Yep seen that now, and watching Nadal. Looks that way. Hard to keep Nadal down when it comes to the French. Only injury can really beat him.

I'm looking at the live scores online. Darn, i hate being at work for matches like this one lol. I love both Delpo and Nadal, but man, i think it would be amazing if Rafa can have the chance to go for #11 against Thiem sunday.

Edit: darn. That was more one sided than i thought it would be. Rafa was in beast mode today. It should be a heck of a final on sunday against Thiem. I expect both guys to give us a darn good final.

Least we have the TV on here so don't miss the matches.

Same here on Delpo & Nadal. No.11 feels like it's on the cards!

Plus that takes him one nearer to catching the Fed for overall slams.

Congrats to Halep on her first major title!

Nadal has already broken Thiem in the 2nd game.

Set up now and another break. Looking like business as usual.

Nadal serving for the match!

And he’s done it in straight sets! It wasn’t as easy as it sounded but still the machine goes on. No.11 in the bag. Congrats Rafa!

No doubt, Thiem produced unbelievable winners throughout, Nadal is facing the potenial guy setting up to eventually topple him here.
Not this time though. ...Vamos!

Could well be him in due time. One day surely age will catch up with the machine.

Never seen anyone dominate clay the way Nadal has. Unbelievable.

No man can defeat Father Time but we are watching an absolute legend that will be remembered throughout the ages.
Indeed. We'll be able to say we witnessed what Rafa has done. It's just amazing. I expected a tougher fight from Thiem, at least him winning a set. But beating Rafa in Roland Garros is just a tough thing to try and pull off lol. I'm sure Thiem will get there, he has the talent and the tools to win in RG for sure.

They should rename clay and just call it Rafa :oldrazz:. I love the spanish ESPN commentators, not only for making intelligent and objective comments throughout the matches, but for also coming up with stuff like: "The beast is unleashed in his backyard" :hehe:

Damn is Murray still out? Is that the list? Is he put on a wildcard (don't really know what that is)?
I thought he started his comeback participating in the Grass season to be here?

Andy made it in. He plays Paire in the first round. Paire could be troublesome with a potential second round clash against Denis Shapovalov before the possibility of facing Juan Martin Del Potro. Not easy for sure. Whether he pulls out of the tournament before it starts, that's another story. Let's see how that one plays out.

Some interesting first round matches: Thiem vs Baghdatis, Wawrinka vs Dimitrov (ouff!). Federer opens against Lajovic, Rafa plays against Sela.

Coric is a potential 4th round match for Federer, so let's see how that one goes.

Men's Projected quarterfinals:
Roger Federer (1) v Kevin Anderson (8)
Marin Cilic (3) v Grigor Dimitrov (6)
Dominic Thiem (7) v Alexander Zverev (4)
Juan Martin del Potro (5) v Rafael Nadal (2)

Women's Projected quaterfinals:
Simona Halep (1) vs Petra Kvitova (8)
Garbine Muguruza (3) vs Caroline Garcia (6)
Karolina Pliskova (7) vs Sloane Stephens (4)
Elina Svitolina (5) vs Caroline Wozniacki (2)

Murray has pulled out of Wimbledon.
