Cassandra Cain has a possibility of being included as an alternate skin if Barbara makes it in there. Cain would never be the main fighter added but I can see her as an alt, similiarly to Powergirl or Jon Stewart

Its not ridiculous to want her, I want Orion and Cyborg Superman but I think disappointment is unjustified. Cain has never made it any mainstream Batman media to my knowledge, she's even spent half her comic life in limbo. On top of she hasn't been Batgirl in almost a decade and that role is still associated with Babs. Cains chances were outright non existent to begin with.

that's true. but Cass was added to the Injustice mobile game. And she was in the DC Online game, too. So she has been in some games.

Plus, the Injustice universe is an alternate world, so there can be more leeway in including less mainstream characters.

also, just in terms of a fighting game, Cass would be a natural fit. Just look what they did with the new Robin - that's essentially how Cass would play.

And Cass would be a natural fit for the dystopian, messed up world of the Injustice universe.

And Cass doesn't even have to be Batgirl, since she hasn't been that in the comics for a longtime. She could be called Black Bat or her current codename Orphan.

that's possible. but Cass' fighting style would have to be different from Babs' fighting style. I don't know if the skins will actually change moves, but I guess it's possible.

however, I thought I read somewhere that in the stream yesterday, they mentioned that no Injustice 1 DLC characters would make it to the main roster. So, I guess that rules out Babs Batgirl.

.

The skins will just change voice and dialog. They aren't going to add new move sets for skins.

ah, but from the stream yesterday, it looks like based on the gear you may be able to equip new moves ( and maybe even new super moves? ).

so maybe there's a chance a full "skin" could add a whole new moveset.

not likely, but I guess it's possible with the new gear system.

and speaking of Cassie Cain, I saw someone on another board suggest making Cass a premier skin for Robin.

and you know what, I think that could actually work - since Robin's fighting style is essentially how I envisioned Cass to play.

of course, they'd have to make Robin's animations a bit more "feminine" to account for Cassie.

but I suppose it could work, and I'd certainly buy that premier skin to change Robin into Batgirl.

Better how? Looks? That's subjective.

He has a far superior move set and better specials. It's sad that out of 75+ years of Batman's history, all he really gets are batarangs and useless scatter bombs. Batman doesn't look nearly as exciting as Damien.

You haven't seen enough of his specials to make that call. You don't know how strong they are compared to Batman. Batman was a fairly high tier fighter in the last game, no reason to think he won't be higher tier this go round.

I thought Batman was boring in the last game. I didnt care for how they designed him as a fighter. IA with Mindreaper21. Robin does look better than Batman from the first game

I didn't really care for him either, but you still can't say one is better than the other. We haven't had a chance to play the game yet. Maybe from a visual standpoint you can say one is more appealing, but until we see what each character can do, it's too early to claim one character better than another. Even then just because one character is better than another doesn't mean they aren't a capable fighter. If robin ends up being the superior fighter, I'm still sure my Batman could beat anyone in this threads Robin. So don't sweat, I'm sure everyone will be able to use their fav character effectively(if they put in the work)unless said character is just super low tier, which Batman won't be.

maybe "better" isn't the right word to use. for me, I didn't find Batman a very "interesting" character to play as in Injustice 1 - in terms of his moves, his super, his fighting style, etc.

from what I've seen of Injustice 2, Batman looks to be pretty much the same, though he has a better fighting stance. His new Batwing super is a step up from the Batmobile one, but I still find it a bit boring.

that's why I was hoping for someone like Cass Cain as Batgirl, because I thought her more agile, ninja like fighting with a katana blade ( or 2 ) would make things more interesting.

of course, we got Robin instead - and yes, I do find his moves and fighting style and super more interesting and appealing than Batman.

I knew I wasn't the only one that felt that way. I had the same issue with Batman in I1. I had more fun with Nightwing, which was really sad. It's possible that Batman may get better with upgrades, but out of all of the Batman gamepaly in I2 shown so far, Damien seemed to be way better in his gameplay trailer. Knowing he's going to get upgrades, he's going to be absolutely brutal. Batman is supposed to be lethal and breaking bones. He should be on level with the MK ninjas and have better weapons like sticky bombs, smoke grenades, thermite grenades, shock weapons, shurikens, even a sword since he's used one on occasion. How about an actual Bat swarm? I want to see better combos than a load of kicks and punches. I want some innovative gadgets.

But Batman was one of the higher tier characters, he was "lethal and breaking bones" so your complaints with his move set don't hold up. I get the complaints about the style of them sure, but saying Batman didn't stand up to the other fighters is incorrect.

I think we are talking more about Batman's style of fighting and move set instead of his actual tier effectiveness in the fighting game.

Exactly. I'm fine with the how effective his move set is. It's what he does in the game that I have issues with.

Ah got ya, I was about to say, Batman was a highly capable fighter in the first game, he was definitely represented properly in that perspective

For anyone that's playing the first Injustice via the Xbox One's BC, did all of your DLC from the 360 carry over? Because for reason all of mine did except for the Ame-Comi skins. I can't even find them in the store.

If a skin provides a new move set, then it's a new fighter not a skin.

Fighting games have to be balanced with all their playable characters.
Adding new characters is not simple at all. It's a lot of hard work. That's why they add The unique skins with different voice actors and dialog for comic book characters that have a similar character like themselves.

With how the gear system works, it would not be out of the realm of possibility that certain skins came with certain gear to reflect the character. I don't think that's going to happen. Normals will be standard but the specials change.

Its not like NRS doesnt have experience with that. Their last game MKX, featured each fighter having 3 unique playstyles with different moves, combos and skills. This seems like a variation of that with more customization. "A whole new set" if thats how he truly means wouldnt make sense for a skin bc at that point, you might as well just create a new character and charge it as DLC, but altered moves? Definitely

The new Arkham Asylum stage looks great as well. Really happy to see Black Canary on the roster.

her design and overall look don't seem that bad.

though her animations in the video do seem a bit "stiff."

hopefully, that's just due to being an early build and that stuff gets fixed.

If Raven is indeed not in this game, then BC may very well be my 2nd main after Supergirl.
