Good point.

So are most of the inhabitants of Thundera slaves of Groon and Mum-ra or are they scattered over the world?

I would think that saving his people would be Lion-O's main goal, after finding the Book of Omens. Then at the end of the series we would have a New Thundera Kingdom/Empire. The wheel keeps on turning.

I think it will be more of a diaspora situation. The second episode didn't really make it look like the main city was under a new regime, it was more abandoned. I think Grune would likely have a small population of Thunderan slaves for his own personal use, but I don't think the whole race has been captured.

GoldGoblin, new episodes of Thundercats come on every Friday in the evening on Cartoon Network. You can also get it on VOD if you have Cartoon Network on Demand.

New episode tonight at 8:30pm EST.! And its the return of the one true Panthro and the Thundertank!

Pretty mellow episode. And we finally have the Thundercat symbol. I wish the entire episode was like the ending. Though I am already a bit tired of Lion-O giving them pep talks.

seems like the first two episodes were the better ones. 3 and 4 were pretty crappy.

Pretty boring episode till that last minute

I'd like a proper theme song too

Thats both good and bad. Premires should be some of the best episodes of a season. But I dont want a lot of mediocre inbetween episodes. Hopefully the next episode steps it up now that they have Panthro.

It's about friggin' time Panthro showed up.

I enjoyed it to be honest. Had a kind of Miyazaki feel to it.

I liked the episode too it was really thought provoking and well grounded. The whole episode was all about life and the journey we all take through it, not a subject I've seen often explored in this kinda genre.

This is reminding me of Gundam Wing with the setup. Sure I'd love more action, but they are setting up Thundera well right now. Damn that Thundertank amped up my inner child again! lol

anyone else get a Land Before Time vibe from the episode?

The episode was deep without even trying as it was concerning how precious life is and how we should live it to the fullest because life is fleeting. I also notice the pass two episodes have been designed to grow Lion-O mentally as a character and in doing that you can notice a slight physical change in him especially when you view him with Cheetara and the Petellas. And finally...Panthro my dude has finally show up in the ThunderTank (a cross between the original tank and the Tumbler) just hate it was the end of the show but it makes sense since it was the first time Lion-O summond the cats with symbol and all.

I'm not gonna lie, I teared up a bit when Emeric(?) gave his little speech and passed on. :csad:

This episode was superb.

Incredibly sad but the message it delivered without being preachy was wonderful.

This series has been really special so far.

This episode was such a step up that I wanted to take last weeks opening and ending and tag them on to this week's episode.

Much, much better episode than last week's in that we have the sibling rivalry between Lion-O and Tygra returning and the debut of the real Panthro and the Thundertank. The Petalas are cute and have a short lifespan, but their purpose like the fishmen last week is to provide hope and faith in Lion-O and the Thundercats in their quest for the Book of Omens and their fights against Mumm-Ra and the Lizard Men.
