The Thunderbolts* News and Discussion Thread

I'm just hoping it doesn't suck so it would benefit Fantastic 4 months later. Fantastic 4 needs all the help it can get.

There's already the Captain America movie with its early poor screenings that led to reshoots/big delay. So Thunderbolts* couldn't possibly go lower.

This looks good. But then again I like "dark/loser" team ups of villains or B heroes so I'm a relatively easy sell. Looks like Alexi will be providing the comic relief. Will be nice to see Yelena again.

The poster is giving me SOA vibes

It’s basically the comic con trailer but this looks fun as hell.

Edit: D23 leak trailer I mean.

Looks alright!

Other than Bucky, most of the characters will be “new” to general audiences. Black Widow and Falcon and Winter Soldier weren’t exactly getting people talking.

This does look much better than either of those.

Bucky is clearly the most well known but Black Widow got sampled well enough and Yelena (and Alexi to a certain extent) were the break out characters in that. And Florence Pugh is pretty recognisable and popular at this point. Ant-Man did well but that was a long time ago and I guess most people won't remember Ghost. I'm personally looking forward to Hannah John Kamen though.

That said I assume there will some sort of recap about who they all are. Most people who saw the Avengers hadn't seen Thor, CA:TFA or TIH either. Although yes I know this is a completely different situation, it's possible to (re)introduce them all. It just depends on how well it's done.

Looks interesting, a little different than I expected. Will be seated day one

Trailer looks good. Just, I've seen this movie before. Though Johansson listed an executive producer isn't too surprising, given how this is born out of Black Widow, among other projects.

Walker uses his shield to push an enemy's skull against a wall and then rub it along the wall. Ouch. My man is unleashed.

Walker fans unite! The guy is going to dominate. :smirk:

It appears like Val and team are on the old Stark/Avengers towers. Asterisk probably means they will go as (New) Avengers but due to the nature of them running black ops the actual title/subtitle will be Dark Avengers to go along the whole multiverse concept of the saga.

Movie looks gun and intriguing, loving the Black Widow connection.

The trailer looks fantastic. Palermo's cinematography really gave this more weight. I'm now officially more interested in this than I am in Brave New World.

Also I'm like 99% sure now that
Val bought Avengers Tower and that's her new office overlooking New York at the end of trailer.
it'd almost make more sense to have some other high profile/ very rich villain to have bought it, but once they were taken down/killed/or arrested the tower was seized by the government and they just allow her to use it
also
seems kinda high profile to operate out the tower

One of the few things in the MCU that I am looking forward too.

Looks cool; none of these characters are my favorite necessarily, but I’m interested.

It’s good to see some crossover again
