Marvel Films The Marvel Studios News and Discussion Thread

Does anyone know why Marvel stopped shooting most of their films in Atlanta and now shoot them in London instead? Does the UK offer a better tax credit now or something?

Very likely. It always comes down to such practical or monetary reasons.

I haven't watched a Marvel film since Endgame, which was amazing...Now I'm going forward watching the films they made afterwards. Not a fan. I just saw Brave New World yesterday. It wasn't good IMO. I wanted to like the new Captain America. The acting and characterization made it feel way off and missing old cap. I'm hoping GUNN revitalizes DC and brings it to what MARVEL used to be. The first several movies were great.

BNW has the Georgia logo in the credits, so they still go there

It seems to be evenly split now between Atlanta & London, but I wonder if that's about pre-existing deals. Their four newest movies (from FF through Secret Wars) are all in London.

I mean, a lot of blockbusters have been filmed in the UK. Superman 78, Batman 89, Aliens... hell, the James Bond franchise had their own sound stage there at one point.

I remember a lot of Fox Marvel movies were being filmed in Canada.

And of course James Bond, would have its own sound stage there. The character is British.
