The TMNT Movie Trailer Threads Merged

While we fully expect TMNT (aka "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles") director Kevin Munroe to show the teaser trailer for the CG animated movie on Thursday at 2pm at Comic-Con, we've confirmed that the clip will hit theaters with Warner Bros.' "The Ant Bully" the following week on July 28. We'll most likely see the trailer online before then.

Being a fan of anything that came out of the '80s (therefore, a TMNT fan), I'm gonna be first in line when that movie gets released.

I hope they maintain the dark grittiness of TMNT. That was one of the main reasons why I enjoyed the very first one as it was violent, gritty, emotional, and awesome at the same time.

Some pics from the licensing fair last month. I REALLY hope the teaser isn't a disappointment. The character designs look good, so hopefully the animation and plot will be as well.

Several things:

1-This movie is rated PG-13. Therefore, it's gonna be in the same vein as the new cartoon: dark and true to the comics but still accessible to kids and pre-teens.

2-I think it's great that 4Kids have reintroduced the Turtles franchise. Now kids all over the world can turn up their TV and enjoys the Ninja Turtle's adventures, just like I did when I was a kid.

3-So, who's voicing the Turtles?

Just because there going with a different animation style doesn't mean the cgi is crap, god it's art and I'm sad that CGI CArtoons are being stifled by looking uber slick and what not... Let's wait and see some actual animation b4 passing judgement... Or how bout till the movie comes out? Cuz so far it looks like there sticking to the comic book roots and people are *****ing...

those turtles were part of my childhood...and now they're going to go and screw them over with crappy CGI if they can;t even make a poster look good how can they make the movie look good? eh? EH?
