The Tonight Show w/ Jerkface Leno

Brian Williams should have a recurring segment on Conan's show, not Jay's show!

I'll be tuning in. I kind of miss him also.

I don't know why there's so much hate for Jay around here in general. I always found him to be entertaining, though I preferred Conan. I fear that his new show may take away from Conan's, but who knows, it may help as the lead-in.

While I'm here - a bit of news I found:

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Jay Leno's new prime-time series is going to kick off with a performance by Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West.

NBC said the three singers will perform together on "Run This Town," a tune from Jay-Z's new album, on the Sept. 14 debut of "The Jay Leno Show."

The network and Leno said this week that there will be fewer musical acts. They also said he will feature interesting combinations of performers.

Leno stepped down as "Tonight Show" host in May. He said that he'll expect guests on his new show to do more than talk — like, for example, race electric cars on a track being built near his NBC studio in Burbank.

Nice to see Jay changing things up a bit. Of course, his staple comedy segments will still be around. I like Jay even though I am not in his demographic.

Any predictions on who the first guest will be? I'm predicting either Billy Crystal or Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Actually, Jerry Seinfeld is. Rihanna and friends will be the first musical guests.

Jerry Seinfeld, who next stars in the new season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," will be the first guest to drop by "The Jay Leno Show" when it makes its prime-time debut on Sept. 14.

NBC announced Friday that Seinfeld will be Leno's first and only guest for the premiere. Leno has referred to Seinfeld in the press as someone he consulted with while deciding whether to accept NBC's offer to launch a new 10 p.m. nightly vehicle.

During the TCA press tour, Leno said he'd have only one guest per episode -- two max -- on his new show, and no desk. He also revealed that "NBC Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams would pop up for bits regularly, as would a team of correspondents, including comics D.L. Hughley and Mikey Day.

Previously announced musical guests for Leno's premiere include Kanye West, Jay Z and Rihanna.

i am, however i might go back and fourth with MNF
the look is great for the show

I am not watching this. Leno isn't funny enough to still be on television.

So far it's EXACTLY like the Tonight Show. Leno barely devoted a minute to acknowledge it was a new show. He was like, "so we were off the air for 3 months..." and then moved on to his usual schtick.

This is just like the old Tonight Show. Old people will love it.

I like the show so far. And yeah, The Old Folks will love it. Which leaves Conan for us younger folks.

That's what it feels like to me. Same old, same old.
