I loved the choice of topher playing Eddie Brock as soon as he was casted. he played Eddie Brock so great and so emotionally.

Its CAST not CASTED. And how do you know he played Brock so perfectly? Have you seen the film?

I agree with the rest of your post. I really didn't know who Topher Grace was before the announcement of his involvement in this film. I then remembered that he was on That 70's Show, so i started watching it and that show became my favorite show of all time(own every season available on DVD) and Grace my favorite actor.

My only regret about having Grace in the film is that if they make another one without Tobey, i feel that Grace would be the PERFECT Spidey and being that hes Brock in this film, he couldnt be cast as Parker.

I don't agree. I don't think Topher grace could be spiderman. He doesn't really fit the part. That's my opinion. And I don't think Jake could play him either he's too goofy looking and I don't take him seriously as an actor. I think maybe Wes Bentley or maybe someone unknown should play the part. Of course I'd rather have Maguire come back, he's spiderman. I think he'll come back. Raimi too.

Bro, I share your pain.:csad:

Jake G is goofy-looking and Grace doesn't fit the part??
So what the hell is so special about T-mags? Imo he's horribly miscast, the guy boasts a boring monotony, drearyness and a severe lack of enthusiasm....of course this is just my opinion.:o :cwink:

Yeah, your right it is your opinion. Too me I think he's plays the part really well. Unless some new character comes on the seen and does a better job then I'll change my tune, but for now I'd rather them keep Tobey. And " the guy boasts a boring monotony, drearyness and a severe lack of enthusiasm...." don't really agree, how is peter parker supposed to act? And in the action scenes he isn't boring, he's very convincing. Talking about the action scenes without his mask. And do you like the spiderman movies at all? If not, what would you like them to do too improve them? They put in a ton of money and had some great special effects, don't you think your expecting too much perfection? No one perfect, so we'll never get the perfect spidey movie. But I know Spidey three will be awesome and I'll enjoy it!

I haven't seen the film. but I really think that church scene proves how good he will be. not to mention that he loved Venom for a long time (especially macfarlanes) and he was really honored to play him so thats why I think he put all of his effort into the role so that his role as playing Eddie Brock would end up awesome. quite frankly, the emotion he gave in that church scene was phenomenal which really showed that Topher wanted this role badly and it really looks like it paid off IMO.

Well, by now, Peter needs to act like he's got a pair of gonads...without the influence of the symbiot.

And in the action scenes he isn't boring, he's very convincing.

That's because it's either a CG spidey or a stuntman.

Talking about the action scenes without his mask.

Which there isn't much of. Its either him by himself, standing around or sitting down or once again a cgi of his face. The only time Tmags did anything noticable where we could see his face, in an action scene was when he was getting battered by GG at the end of the 1st movie, which to be honest, anybody could have pulled off......imo.

And do you like the spiderman movies at all? If not, what would you like them to do too improve them?

IMO the spidey movies are mediocre at best...and I'e stated ny times how they could be better, tmy views are littered all over the place.

They put in a ton of money and had some great special effects, don't you think your expecting too much perfection?

They indeed put a tonne of money in and it's all the more why I think these movies should have been better. I'm not expecting too mch at all. I want what the movie says it is, a spider-man movie...which the movies opening credits state, based on the marvel comics by stan lee and steve ditko.

No one perfect, so we'll never get the perfect spidey movie. But I know Spidey three will be awesome and I'll enjoy it!

I don't expect perfection but I do expect a better standard of movie-making with these films, especially when its drilled into my brain that, "the team is so commited, Sam is a big fan and understands the characters, we've invested hundreds of millions, blah blah blah". I'm not asking for much, I just want a better job to be done and believe it or not, I'm looking very foward to sm3.

O i completely agree with you.

Not true. In Spider-Man 1, Tobey Maguire did the whole fight sequence in the alley rescueing MJ from her attackers.

Mr. 7000 - Since you have such a low opinion of the Spider-Man movies, I'd just like to ask you, in your opinion, who would make the perfect Peter Parker and who would be the best director for these films? And why?

Yeah, good question. No ones perfect so there's the answer! There's talent out there that we don't even know about, and why nitpick every little flaw? It's just a movie....a great movie that many have been wanting to see since the 1960's. People are just happy to see it on the big screen. Especially Stan Lee he's pushing his 70's,

Alex Proyas would make a great spiderman movie,

and at one point in time way before he had a real career, Matt Damon would of made a fantastic Parker

Oh yeah, someone just gave that to me. That's great. The tongue is not to scale by the way. [Laughs] That was CGI. Yeah, it's great. There's part of me that wishes at the end of these movies that you could be 10 years old again and go experience it the way you would have when you were younger. I'm probably the geekiest dude to ever be in one of these films so I'm enjoying it pretty much on that level anyway.

 Is he talking about Venom's tongue here? I thought most of the reports on Venom's appearance say he never revealed a tongue, long or short. That's a little confusing... I realise he's on about the action figure on the question, but he's still mentioning CG.

SHH!: Can you talk a little about "Kids in America"?
Grace: "Kids in America" is a movie that Imagine and Universal are doing. It was actually an idea that I had.

SHH!: Are you producing it too?
Grace: Yes, I'm producing it. It's my virgin producing effort and it was good. I don't know how soon again I'll be doing that but it was great.

SHH!: What's it about?
Grace: Do you guys know "American Graffiti"? Some of the kids that were in it did not know "American Graffiti." But we're at Imagine, which is great because Ron Howard is a part of it, and it's basically like that except it's set in the late '80s. So it's very much like an "American Graffiti" in the '80s I guess.

SHH!: Like the Kim Wilde song "Kids in America"?
Grace: Yeah, the title's from the Kim Wilde song. It's great. Anna Faris is in it, Dan Fogler, Chris Pratt, and Teresa Palmer. We wanted to do a movie that was all the kids that we loved that were peers of mine that we thought were hilarious. Anna Faris is a genius. You know Anna Faris, right? So it was great. I just came back from shooting that. It's the opposite of "Spider-Man" by the way. There are zero special effects and it's very funny. Dan Fogler is also pretty genius in it.
Heh hes talking about Kids in America, the movie I was an extra in :D
