The Trump Thread!!!

That seems dangerous.

Not exactly. As long as a new political party pops up to replace them. When the Whigs' political party died Southern Whigs left the party and Northern Whigs became Republicans.

I think the GOP is dangerous.

Well, I don't think that. I know that after 8 years of Bush.

I think it would be hilarious if Trump go so many 'I hate everyone else so why not vote for this guy?' votes that he wins. He goes on tv for his victory speech and the only thing he says is "Hunh. Didn't think you'd actually vote me in." then leaves.

As McCain put it, Trump may appeal to the racist crazies, but most Americans are sane. Not particularly informed, but sane. They're not going to elect this jackass to any national office.

It's such a shame Jon Stewart is retiring in a few weeks because he is absolutely eviscerating him on the show tonight. I'm sure if he wanted to he could just fill up the next 3 weeks with Trump's stupidity

Is it really considered racist now to want to keep the borders secure? Or did Trump say something else I'm not aware of?

What, other than the rapists thing?

He called Mexican immigrants rapists among other things. Though he did add that he "supposed" that some might be decent people. It sounds like something a European Neo-Nazi would say.

"When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

...but cool beans I guess.

You should watch his video where he says all the crap.

Actually here it is.

Even Youtube can't believe he said that. The video starts with q_q in the address.

During his campaign kickoff speech on June 16, he said:

,"the U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best.” He added, “They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

You can imagine why mexican immigrants didn't appreciate these comments.

I like how he offers virtually nothing in the way of showing that this is something he's researched. Not "__% of illegal immigrants in this country have been convicted of rape/murder/etc." No, he just lays out a f***ing blanket statement and sounds like a damn 12 year old doing a school project at the last minute.

"Immigrants murdered and raped most of America over the past five years. If you didn't hear about it you weren't listening. It's all true because I said it."

"Immigrants murdered and raped most of America over the past five years. If you didn't hear about it you weren't listening. It's all true because I said it. If you argue my point, you'll lose, because I have more money than you."

Fixed.

I'd kill to be his speech-writer. I think he has fairly low standards when it comes to that area.

I don't get how he's leading in the polls those over almost everyone else in the GOP. Is America that racist?

I just assume that people are agreeing to vote for him due to the hilarity of it.

"What can we make him say this time?"
"Who gives a ****? He'll just say whatever pops in his head anyway."

I guess it speaks volumes to the typical GOP voter. But polls this far out are utterly meaningless. I don't think anyone leading in the polls this far out has actually won the nom so it's not really anything to get excited about

You don't really keep up with current events do you?

I do, I just haven't been following Trump as I have no intention of voting for him. However, border security is a divisive issue for some reason, and being a Republican I assumed Trump was in favor of it. I wasn't aware of any specific comments he made.

Sure. "When Mexico sends its people" to me sounds like he's referring to legal immigrants, in which case his comments are way out of line. However, if he's referring to illegal immigrants, his comments may be crass, but I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch about it. I'm sure some illegals are good folks. However I also feel like it's smart to be at least suspicious of people who think the law of the country they want to immigrate to doesn't apply to them and sneak into it instead of immigrating legally like everyone else.

I can't belive someone is actually trying to defend his racist remarks. If I wasn't on my phone I'd post many a facepalm meme

I'm not really defending anything.

But please, post your epic meme. I can't wait to see it.

I gots me one!
