Exactly. No decent person whether they be left or right or neutral would ever belittle a POW especially in the public media sphere. Doing so is low and petty and pathetic. So of course people on the left and every other decent person is going to take issue with Trumps remarks. Who cares if some of the people who are upset had never even thought or cared about POWs prior to this. All that matters is that they realize here and now that what Trump said wasnt right.

I havent thought about McCain being a POW in a while, but Trumps remarks still piss me off. Picking on and ****ting on POWs is low. And as an American Im going to take issue with Trump talking down to our POWs.

No one on the left was treating McCain with kid gloves in 2008?? HELL NO! MSNBC trashed him, there were a ton of websites trashing McCain in 2008.

Trump, he spoke his mind, that's all. He is just talking and not giving a ****, I prefer that. I disagree with what he said but honestly that's about the only thing he has said that I have 100% disagreed with. I'll take him over some of the other bums running. Regarding his McCain comments. Regarding his illegals comment he isn't right 100% but he isn't really wrong either but again I'd rather he actually say it than pander to some fundraising group.

It's not just "the jobs that nobody wants" that are taken over by illegals. I've heard from too many people who lost jobs in construction to illegal immigrants.

Does anyone have a link to the actual speech????? Not just paraphrases that can be taken out of context.

Plenty of people posted his exact comments on the last page, no real way to take his comments out of context.

True, but the right certainly didn't have a problem bashing McCain in 2000 when he ran against W, particular in S.C., so lets not pretend he's been some sacred cow on the right either. The guy has gotten it from both sides of the spectrum.

I disagree with him on alot of things, but the guy is a patriot.

I didn't think he could become a bigger a**hole, but I guess I was wrong...

Donald Trump reveals GOP rival's personal phone number during live speech
by By Brett LoGiurato1 hour ago from Business Insider

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump revealed GOP rival and US Sen. Lindsey Graham's (R-South Carolina) personal cell-phone number, in apparent retaliation for Graham calling the real-estate mogul a "jackass."

Trump shot back at Graham, calling him an "idiot" during a speech in the senator's home state of South Carolina. A few minutes later, he took out a card on which he said he had written Graham's cell-phone number a few years ago.
Trump claimed Graham had been "begging" to help him with an appearance on "Fox and Friends."
"He said, 'Could you mention my name?' And I said, 'Yes, I'll mention,'" Trump said. "And he gave me his number, and I found the card."
He read out the number and told the audience to, "I don't know, give it a shot."
Graham's campaign confirmed that the phone number belonged to the senator. The number went straight to voicemail when multiple reporters attempted to call it.
"Donald Trump continues to show hourly that he is ill-prepared to be commander in chief," Graham campaign manager Christian Ferry told Business Insider.
"The two people most excited about Donald Trump's candidacy are Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Because of Trump's bombastic and ridiculous campaign, we aren't talking about Obama's horrible deal with Iran or Hillary Clinton's plans to continue Obama's failed national security agenda."
Trump and Graham have been feuding publicly for the past few weeks. Graham recently took a dig at Trump in an interview with Business Insider, referencing one of the businesses that severed ties with Trump in the aftermath of his controversial comments on immigrants.
In an interview with CBS on Tuesday morning, Graham told Trump to "stop being a jackass."

It's very becoming of a presidential candidate to act like a 4 year old when someone calls them a bad name. :o

At this point, Trump has just gone insane. I can't even imagine the wars he would start if a foreign leader said something negative about him

At THIS point. Its funny to listen to limbaugh gloss over the graham thing, with the idea that trumps just being honest. Maybe trump running will be a good thing, if his defeat finally dissuades people of the idea that this type of guy, who the limbaughs always wanted over washington, gop establishment types, can persuade the electorate.

As Kirk Lazarus said in Tropic Thunder, "Never go full ******."

I think Trump just went full ******.

trashing him over the way he treated his first wife mostly. that and his pick of Palin.
Want to talk about trashing a military record? Ask John Kerry, Max Cleland or Tammy Duckworth about what the right wing media and politicians said about them. Even Jeb congratulated the Swiftboaters for trashing Kerry with their smears.

Trump is an overgrown 4 year old.

It's kind of insane that some other forums I frequent, they're actually lauding his action of outing Graham's number. At this point, I think America itself might've gone full ******.

No America, but the base of the Republicans.

If Trump is elected, this country deserves the flames we will inevitably go down in. :o

Second, I fail to see the correlation between the actions of European colonists hundreds of years ago and totally opening our borders today to any rabble that wants in.

Actually, the United States participated in ethnic cleansing up to the 20th century. There's a reason why Native Americans love Nixon, who gave them self-determination. From your middle school days you may remember the Trail of Tears? But, since you call immigrants rabble, I'm just going to move on to the next point.

You seem to implying that all illegal immigrants are Mexican. I'm pretty sure that's not true. I don't think you meant anything by that. I'm just sayin'.

No, Trump was talking about Mexicans. Hence why I am talking about them, hence why I use figures like 7 million.

Anyway, if these "Mexicans" as we're calling them want to come to America to pick fruit or whatever, I see no reason whatsoever why they can't do it legally. If you're not a criminal, why sneak in? Why break the law? Why take such a risk? It seems like you're just making things so much harder on yourself than need be. That's really the main thing I take issue with; The flagrant disregard for the laws of the land they apparently want to live in so badly. I have no problem with the people, just their actions. If people want to immigrate legally, then fine! Welcome! Have a nice life! I have no problem at all with that. But you're never going to get me to "okay" people sneaking in illegally. There's simply no justifiable reason for it.

You make it sound like it's getting a stamp at the border. The legal process takes many years, and is incredibly expensive. You think most people who migrate here illegally can afford lawyers? And yes. You need lawyers to immigrate to America legally. Especially if English is not your first language. There are also quotas, so many simply will never be able to become legal citizens with the current system. The entire system is a terrible mess. Not to mention the fact that some million were underage when they migrated. They grew up in America and know nothing else.

Do I really have to explain why people living in a corrupt failed state overrun by armed gangs want to move to America?

Maybe we could change our immigration process so it's easier. Is it super ****ing hard or something? I honestly don't know. I mean, I'm somewhat familiar with the process, but is it way tougher than in other countries or something? I have no idea how other countries handle it.

Yes. It is an incredibly byzantine system in desperate need of reform. No one in DC is arguing about whether or not it is in need to drastic reforms. What needs to change is the issue that is debated.

America is fundamentally different than most countries. For one, it's significantly bigger than most countries both in size and population. More importantly, it's a country built on immigration. Recent immigration. The situation in Mexico is also a bit unusual, since Mexico is essentially a failed state coexisting next to a developed superpower.

I saw Trump got duped into retweeting a photo of a murderer (and this isn't the first time).

This campaign has become a study in how sometimes you can say and do all the wrong things and still somehow retain fanatical support. At this point, Trump could probably kill a bunch of baby seals with a machine gun on live television to show people that he's against gun control and his numbers would continue to surge.

But then, this is the party that voted for George W. Bush twice and will vote for his a**hole brother once he inevitably gets the Republican nomination, so this shouldn't surprise me.

Jeb Bush could garner any Latino vote that Trump will cost them, which is very scary.

One President defines the party?

Well, I could talk about what the Republicans have been doing for the last 8 years. The borderline sedition (well, really sedition at this point in regards to Iran), the obstructionism, the total irresponsibility of the Tea Party. Trying to shut down the federal government. The "treason letter" to Iran. Holding up the 9/11 first responders aid bill. The nonsense with gay marriage. I could go on...

But yes, I think Bush defined his party. I don't know if I would say that he led it. That suggests leadership. But he was definitely representative of it, and as a result helped define it. The chicken hawk tendencies. The gross fiscal irresponsibility. The anti-science bent that has only gotten worse.

This man is disgusting and I wish the media would delete him from their radar because he is really screwing up my twitter feed.

This really sums it up well. The Republicans have been acting just like Donald Trump for years, and only now they are shocked by his behavior??? Its absolute karma coming back to bite them on the butt. This is your Republican party.

I have been saying for years that the Republican party has gone completely off the rails. Some people here, disagreed with me. I have no idea what they have been watching these last 16 years.

This party is dangerous. The Republican party and Bush have done more damage to America than jihadists like Osama Bin Laden could ever dream to do. Two pointless wars, a surplus squandered, and five thousand dead American soldiers, not to mention a million veterans physically and mentally scarred. And for what? Afghanistan is a war zone, and Iraq is coming apart at the seams.

And has the Republican party learned anything from this? Are they going to do anything for these veterans? 8 times they have voted against major bills to help veterans from the wars they started.
