sort of, I can see why big companies and celebrities would use it. I don't use it myself but can agree that it is pretty nifty to see what your favorite actor/actress is doing at any given point in time. (example: the on set reports from Iron Man) and so forth

but when your average joe uses it to let everyone know he/she just wiped their ass, just took a crap, a piss, just ate a cookie, etc. etc. Then it's POINTLESS and the girl tweeting in the bathtub....GOT WHAT SHE DESERVED

There is NO NEED WHATSOEVER for your average joe off the street to tweeter. Unless you're famous it's POINTLESS
