There's this phrase "you can't educate pork" but in this case, @RetrogradeOrbit doesn't even eat pork.@Flash525 we told him, right?
I’ve been too ashamed to weigh myself with eyes open! But judging by how I looked when I started, I estimate between 175-180 lbs. My target weight is 135-140 lbs. When you take into account I am 5’ 5”, I can’t hide 180 lbs...@RetrogradeOrbit do you mind me asking what your weight is/was, and what your target goal it?
Oh, I've been there! Oh, wait... that's a fallacy, I still am.I’ve been too ashamed to weigh myself with eyes open!

My other half has been noting my weekly weigh-ins and telling me only what my loss has been.
There's nothing colder than an other half that doesn't know how to appreciate "more of us".
Last time I weighed myself (December 2020) I was 172lbs. I am 5ft 11, but I consider myself at a healthy weight, despite having a little middle baggage.I’ve been too ashamed to weigh myself with eyes open! I haven't made a stir fry vege dish for awhile. I love spicy Chinese style food and have a sauce recipe that uses soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, some ground ginger, garlic, chili paste, a sweetener (if you are so inclined....I'm not), Szechuan peppercorns, and cornstarch (if you want a thickener). You can also use a little fennel, anise, etc. but I wouldn't use a lot. Experiment with various portions of ingredients. It's fun to taste them as you are making the sauce. There are also bottled sauces you can use as a base. I always keep around rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, chili paste (with garlic), and sriracha sauce.
I chop up broccoli, mushrooms, onion, snow peas, bell peppers and basically any vege you like. If you want to throw in some shrimp, chicken, beef or whatever, that's fine too.
I guess I should post the full recipe in the Kitchen thread.
I think you're just messing the kitchen...
It's okay buddy, I've been pulling your slack. My cat’s been in and out of the vets and I can only go running in the morning before work. Plus the appointments have often been very early when I would usually be sleeping so my sleep schedule has also been off, meaning I haven’t felt like running on weekends either. Hopefully will be able to start again ASAP although still have a few appointments left.
Oh nice. How is your comeback going? Any twinges or setbacks since we last caught up?It's okay buddy, I've been pulling your slack.
So far it's been okay. I've done a 10k, though I'm backing into the 5milers for a while - I'm very much aware that my injury is still in the healing process and so I don't want to get ahead of myself.Oh nice. How is your comeback going? Any twinges or setbacks since we last caught up?
That’s great progress. That’s plenty anyway, no need to go crazy. I didn’t expect you would already be at this point so it’s great going. Fe I meant to post all this in the fitness thread but it works here too.So far it's been okay. Some new insoles arrived today too, specifically for running so I'll try them out Friday with some new trainers (I have three brand new pairs to choose from).
