Comics The Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Thread!!!

im confused here. i dont read the comics until it comes out as a graphic novel and what im reading here is upsetting me. they are killing peter again plus a new person is spider-man WHAT THE HELL? ultimatum pissed me off when things were changed just for the sake of changing stuff but a new person begin spider-man is too much

So, after my self-indulgent rant I read a few more issues.

Doc Ock (or a successor) will return.

A picture of him is on the Ultimate Comics liveblog.

I just don't understand how Green Goblin survived. He WANTED to die. It was perhaps the best death of the series.

Why would he just come back, and then his first plan is "lol, kill Peter"? Last time he did it methodically. Norman is way too smart to just grab some supervillains and bumrush the Ultimates.

Also, Bendis continuously said there'd be a new Spider-man after Ultimatum, and we all know where that went...

Probably, but I wouldn't use that huge cover as proof of that. It's a sort of huge 'history' of the Ultimate Universe, including dead characters, like Magneto and Doc Ock. Heck, some characters are used with their latest design (the first Wasp) while others use a design we haven't seen in ages (Sabertooth).

Don't worry, Norman doesn't know too, and it confuses him. Apparently the Oz would do that to you, it lets you evolve to overcome everything. And I think that being alive when he wants to be dead is what has caused the shift in his motivation towards Peter.

His new obsession on killing Peter, and doing it in such an overt manner, seems logical to me. The fact that he's still alive after having killed his own son has made him even crazier than he was before. He blames Peter for everything bad that ever happened to him, when he wanted to be recognized as his creator before. His objectives have changed.

thats cool, im glad it wasnt just a lame plot device where old enemies that died are always brought back. it will be the one character i dont mind seeing come back from the dead
