Comics The Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Thread!!!

anyone think jessica drew will become peter's enemy?

man I hope not. They parted on good terms and I really don't think it would go down to that. Maybe something happened in the months between Ultimatum and Vol. 2.

you know what i think? i think that it would be really cool if the shroud was sue storm! that would would be perfect! why else would johnny randomley show up at pete's door. (other than just because the writer put it in.)

that was a really interesting preview! how did you find itz/ i've been looking everywhere!!!!!

Looks good. Feel bad for Bobby though having to go that far just for a secret identity. :hehe:

Been a while since i posted on here but i'm actually considering of picking up this comic whenever it's comes out it look interesting.

SHROUD SPOILERS ON ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #6 AHEAD...

I think Bendis even hinted to the Shroud's true identity as far back as the second issue of the Ultimate Power miniseries where Kitty suggests "The Shroud" as a possible code name (along with "Shadowcat" and "The Cat")

Maybe these are just the ramblings of a diehard Kitty Pryde/Peter Parker shipper, but could this be a weird sign of a renewed Peter/Kitty relationship down the line?

From a purely practical standpoint, Kitty's new identity is now completely separate from the X-Men or Spider-Man -- heck, even her gender is disguised -- meaning Peter and Kitty could go on patrol together and still be seen as a civilian couple (something that won't raise as many eyebrows post-Ultimatum since poor Kitty is now a bully target (like Peter was) and no longer a mutant celebrity)

As far as Peter is concerned, although he likes his current relationship with Gwen, even he admits he doesn't know quite how they ended up together, hinting he might not be entirely committed to this relationship.

Also.. and I'll admit I may be reaching here, but consider this -- Ultimate Kitty could have chosen any number of alternate superhero identities, but she chose the Shroud... and in the 616 Universe, the Shroud is a male superhero who is in a relationship with Julia Carpenter -- the former Spider-Woman. Coincidence? Maybe -- but then again, who knows?

Bumping this thread up. What happened to these boards? They use to be so active and now its all dead. Finally caught up on my USM.

So, what did you think of Mysterio? Of Peter
and Gwen dating
? Of the Shroud
being Kitty
? Of
Ultimate Nova (whoever he is in 616)
? Of the new role Aunt May is taking? Of the fact that her house now is
a shelter for all kind of super-powered teenagers with issues
?

Personally I liked all the above, but I hope that the title hits a better pace in the next arc, because the first one felt rushed and really was just about building the new statu quo and introducing Mysterio. Can't wait to have Lafuente back too, Miyazawa felt too "clean" for me...

Still news, here is the cover for the 11th issue :

http://marvel.com/images/675114/from/content.story.11573

Jonah is back, just as full of energy as we always knew him, and
Peter finally got a haircut
! I also hope that we will see more of Gwen soon...

Aunt May's Shelter is kind of hit or miss with me at the moment. I do love Johnny Storm, but never been too big on the character of Ice man. I would much have rather had kitty move in instead.
As far as the mystery with "Shroud" Goes. That I didn't see coming and it could definitely lead to big things. I wonder if this means that Kitty still has strong feelings for Peter. There is definitely more than meets the eye with that situation
The last two issues were kind of dead to me only because I never cared for mystical/space elements in a Spider title.

Peter/Gwen together right now is a nice twist. I've always been of the "Peter can be with whoever as long as MJ is who he ends up with" camp.:yay:

I'm a sappy Peter/MJ fan at heart. Always have been. Gwen Stacy is an amazing character in USM, but I do feel she works better being a sister towards Peter. I wish Bendis would detail their relationship a bit more, since it still hasn't been explained.

One thing I find interesting is that in USM I find that the female characters over shadow the males. Kitty,MJ, Aunt May, Gwen and now with Jessica Returning....all of them are amazing characters and BEndis writes them as strong females. Its a shame that more writers don't take notice to that. The female doesn't always have to be helpless.

Anyway, I'm liking the direction that USM is heading in. I'm still adjusting to the art at times.

Imho, Gwen was, is, and always will be, the only one for Pete. MJ was transformed as a character to make her "suitable." She was a rebound, an awful match for him. Hardly anyone in here will agree with my view, but that's ok. I'm a sappy romantic when it comes to Pete & Gwen. :)

You say "transformed" as a character.

I say "evolved" and "Grew".

To each his own.

Let's not get into a shipping war, please :yay: ? I've got enough of that on my manga readings :woot: !

I am myself a big Ultimate Peter/Gwen shipper, and hope they will end up as the "big one" in this universe, but I like MJ and Kitty enough :yay: .

Just got done looking at the picture for #11 and not only is peter in his costume with no mask but he's also bleeding and crying. Does everybody knows who spidey is or what? Anybody help me out?

Man, I'm really looking forward to whats going on in this comic. The Spider-Woman/Johnny Storm romance is looking pretty great.

I like ... Ultimate Spider-man, ur-rrr: jumping:
For one simple reason, that in this comic, God is present. almost "every" stranitse.Ultimatom as if guided by God, not the case, the hero is destined to be God (the author) VPF-p: jumping:
The author knows this, and wrote, and the hero simply dagadyvaetsya about this, saying the word, ur''Oh, God! "Every time gets in trouble. And what is the author? Naturally helps him escape.

....huh???

Yes-yes... I also like the turning points in his life.Tell about Peter from the USM and just about him ....
He likes because he sees the world from the perspective of the child (and why is that? And why?) Children of a pure soul, so they dream of and want to live in a peaceful and quiet place, where everything was all right. Peter wants to and makes the world a little better, he was hurt by the fact that the adult world is full of anger, hatred and greed (Jewish trait), so he dreams of what would become a peaceful world. He is the type avatar came to earth that would help people move forward on their difficult journey. Of course, when you get great strength in their hands you start eclipse, and as adults and starts Waist into oblivion, where you think only osebe and nobody will care about and do not care at all. And it happened with Peter, lives with his strength began to seem to him easy, he became a strong stick to it were a girl and thought he would go to the bottom, but there were people who were responsible for him, so he should not go down the path of Easten and not done follies of which would be sorry. They turned out to be Uncle Ben (after all, dear people for this and want to protect their children from bad influences. And when the uncle is killed by the hands pristupnika, according to Peter that he could have stopped, comes a turning point (Read USM # 6) in the life of Peter. Yes, he wants to take revenge, he gets angry, his emotions overwhelm terrible murder. And when he comes face to face with the killer, with the previously visible offender whom he could stop his outlook has changed, and he realized that he could prevent it. the death of Uncle Ben was not in vain, and spurred the development of Peter's spirit, now he is trying to do so other people do not suffer and that their uncle and aunt were alive, he sacrificed himself fighting with cunning criminals and powerful villains mutants. It's his way.

And I can tell why his Uncle Ben was killed, the meaning of why so done.

Alright, maybe it's just me, but I can't make any sense of your posts Pauchel. They seem like random ranting.
