Comics The Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Thread!!!

I recently read, such as a burglar had killed his uncle Peter. because they have in the house, bred the money.
Yes. Of course, it can be. Money is evil! Spider-Man has to earn on their own strength, to get this money. At the same time instead of giving nothing, wrong.
Extrasensory to fleece money from the client, sooner or later lose their mesticheskih forces, their energy is directed only to receive money
What man would not lose yourself in the world there is a law of equivalent exchange (this is not my idea) then any attempt to achieve the we have something teryaem.I that someone turned out to be Uncle Ben. It was a sign that Peter did not go the wrong way. He had to rethink his life and how it can be done without creating a "shock" situation in life.
Ur-ur, some might say: What nonsense! The guy is just trying to earn money to help the family, is it bad? This thug is guilty, he was bad!
Some of the things writers do not write consciously. The fact that money is all that is material, happiness can not buy them, especially not bring back the dead,
Parents love their children not for the money and awards

Peter was carried away by the pursuit of money, and it was to specifically address the problem.Money is tangible, people are attracted to this, the bandits are drawn, ur, especially to those who dishonestly earned money, and those people always problems.
If Peter did not start to this, and went to work like everyone else, honest, decent people, hard to earn, and can equal sharing would be another (payment for work).

 :wall: Seriously What the F**k?!?!?!?!

I get the impression that Pauchel is either Japanese running everything he says through Google Translator, or just being a *****e on purpose.

Pauchel just became my favorite poster here. I cannot make it through two sentences without literally cracking up at my computer. Whaaaaat the fffaaaaaaaahhhh????

I think Pauchel's point is that money is the root of all evil, as is shown in Spider-Man by money constantly being the cause of Peter's misfortunes. ... Then again, I'm speculating at this point.

Well, of course, yes. Therefore, it does not have a lot of money, they would have corrupted his soul. Hee!
It just so he was destined to not have the money, this type of law!
Or you are good people but with less wealth or you're richer but a bad man, yes.
:oldrazz:

Anybody else pick up Issue #9? I liked the introduction of Ultimate Dagger in there (Tandy Bowen). She seems like she'll be an important character for the next little bit.

Loved the issue poking fun at the round-headed Spidey complaints. :)

I have to confess, I'm just not lovin' the "teen titans" approach to USM. I understand they're trying to use some of the ol' spider-charm to jump start several other characters, but sometimes I feel like Pete's a guest star in his own book. I guess I'm more of a fan of the loner Spider-Man or something.

I think that's exactly what they're going for. I love the idea of Peter totally wigging out because his clone made out with Johnny. That was awesome. I hope we get a good conversation with Peter and Jessica soon.

I hope that will be fun. I'm really looking forward to # 009.
And # 008, about Nova, waiting to continue. It's funny, and mysterious. Should save the planet, that's cool.

I hope things pick up a bit. From my viewpoint, it's morphing into a series for 'tweens, picking up where MASM leaves off. As someone who owns the entire run of USM, I am seriously considering dumping the re-boot.

I loved that too. It was very funny. They took care of two birds with one stone there. Addressed the most round head ever seen and it took care of that lame hair cut that Peter had.

Also I have adjusted very well to LaFuente's artwork and it definitely fits the book very well. I'm glad that I stuck with it and this book continues to ride a big steam of momentum. Keep up the good work.

think its lost a bit of steam since the reboot, but still enjoying it - hey its different to 616

His clone did, really? I was wondering how they were going to work that because Jessica was Peter's clone but in a female body. She never got the mind wipe that she was supposed to have. I always assumed she would end up being a lesbian.

I just caught myself up with issues 6-9, and I must say I'm disappointed so far. This just isn't the same book which captivated me. A few points:

1. Why is Gwen so goth all of a sudden? Her character has been completely rewritten, as well, and not for the better. She's become too wholesome, and that was never Ultimate Gwen.

2. Why is MJ less attractive and bespectacled? (Yes, bespectacled. I used that word in context. Sue me.) Like Gwen, she doesn't even feel like the same character. She seems more like a guest character than the supporting character she should be.

3. Speaking of guest characters, have they forgotten whose title this is? The "halfway house" storyline has blown way out of hand. It was cool when it was just Johnny. It started being less cool when they included Iceman, but it still had potential. Then, they threw in the Nova issue for seemingly no reason. Through 9 issues, we haven't had any real Spider-Man stories. It's always cluttered by something else.

4. The "reveal" of Kitty as the hooded figure was predictable and lame.

When this comic started, I was confused by the name change. "Ultimate Comics Spider-Man"? It seemed unnecessary. Now, I see it was totally necessary. This isn't Ultimate Spider-Man. This is like a horrible Ultimate Spider-Man fan-fiction gone wrong. I'll stick around to see if things ever clear up (hopefully after Johnny, Bobby, and Kitty are removed as supporting cast), but my patience is wearing thin. Even in the later arcs of USM - which, admittedly, weren't as good as the early ones - it still felt like USM. I just can't say that about UCSM. (And it has very little to do with the art.)

I have to admit that I agree with some of the things you said, Eddie, but while you find the "halfway house" idea lame, I think its an exciting direction for the comic. The upcoming Chameleon bit should be promising as well, and give us some real character development from everybody. While MJ, Gwen, Kong (also gone goth/punk?!) and others are different now, I think that might just be the fact that Bendis is spending less time writing dialogue, which leaves more room for the new art style to influence how the character comes off.

Also, Gwen is actually a clone of the dead Gwen, and so her behaviour might be a "calm before the storm." Hopeful thinking, I admit, but I would love to have her totally Carnage out in the future.

I don't know. They don't look like the characters I know, they don't act like the characters I know, and this comic is losing focus on its title character. It's just very disappointing for me, and UCSM is shaping up to be a comic I don't feel like paying $4 per issue for.

Honestly i am liking this direction of USM. I would guess that the Spider-man and his Amazing friends arc got alot of positive feedback and this is the result. I wouldn't be surprised if the new Ultimate Spidey cartoon would loosely resemble this
