I catch crap for sharing my thoughts and ideas, and for some odd reason I'm the one starting trouble.

And I always thought message boards were meant for free expression.

The only person who ever said anything(though 'have a b*tch fit' would be more accurate) about my ideas is you.

What is so wrong about sharing my ideas with other people? What is the worst that can happen? They waste their time reading my idea? They say "no thanks, I have my own idea."?

I don't think my ideas are the grand threat you perceive them to be.

I know I like hearing other peoples suggestions when I take on a new character, because more often than you think, you hear an idea and go "Why didn't I think of that?"

Variety is the spice of life, and I like my life spicey.

Let the boy with ADD have his fun.

I do what I can with my characters.

I'm still not seeing the problem with suggesting ideas for other people to use at their leisure.

Unless you have something to say that remotely makes any sense, this conversation is over.

Well, he can if you want. I was going off what I knew of the character so far. I thought he was just a sleazy buisnessman who will (eventually) create the Teen Titans, which is essentially a blend of a boy band and a vigilante group.

Oh, okay. All I esatblished in my post is that he worked as a PR manager for the white house. I just had him give the greenlight for the Ult Eradicator's creation. Other than his job at the white house and being British, I haven't really delved into his character. Now back to writing drafts........

my ultimate spin on riddler is that he (Edward Nygigma) was once a great scientist but due to his increasingly dangerous experiments he was thrown out of the gotham scientific reasearch labouratories, years later he began experimenting with a serum that if administered would make the recieptents intelligence double 100fold (An unknown side effect of this serum is that it makes the reciept slowly insane). he kidnapped the CEO of gotham reasearch labs to test it on but Batman foiled the plan, however before Batman could destroy the serum Nygigma took it and passed out, Batman Checked on him but no pluse was found, pressumed dead he was left inside the gotham reasearch labs. hours later he awoke entered his old office and assumed the guise of the Riddler (since Riddles were his favourite pastime as a child) Wearing a green bowler hat and matching green suit covered in question marks he now seeks to confound gothams citizens and ultimatley discover the true idenity of the Batman.

He now resides in Gothams abbondonned observatory

It's more than ok. I'm glad you like my idea. It's just I always kind of thought of the Riddler as some sort of game show host or something with that crazy suit with all the question marks.

Maybe there could be an intersection of our two ideas. Maybe Nigma was only some mediocre guy who liked riddles, but after taking that serum, became super intelligent and created the bizarre game show. And just like some of our favorite athletes they can be outed for using performance enhancing drugs, get fired, and go insane. Or he could just eventually grow bored with the game show, deciding he wants to raise the stakes. He doesn't want people to be playing for cash and prizes, he wants them to be playing for their lives.

Or maybe he was the game show host first, enjoys successful ratings for awhile until he calls out Batman on live television. Batman runs the obstacle course and answers all the riddles correctly. The Riddlers ratings go through the roof, but he is so disheartend by his defeat that he resigns from his show and stumbles upon that serum that boosts his IQ, but ends up making him rather insane. From there he could take his show to the streets in his attempt to destroy Batman using his bizarre traps and riddles.

I'm really not digging the serum idea. No need to give him super powrs.

Purple, X, both of you cut this out. I know I'm not a GM here, but this spans all the RPGs, and I'm tired of it.

Purple Man, I wasn't blaming you for starting things, but the comment I commented on just inflames things further. You feel you're right, so be the bigger man and just move on if that comes up. Don't instigate arguments where there shouldn't be any.

Red X, it seems like you are the only one who gets upset when PM suggests some ideas. If somebody doesn't want to use the ideas, than they won't. You've shown a lot of maturity in the past, so why can't you just ignore PM's ideas, or, better yet, add some constructive criticism to them, what's the worst that can happen there? The player doesn't use the idea? Big deal, you still exercised your creativity and that cannont be a bad thing.

Why not? I don't see how that could interfere with the TT. He could still form the Titans if he wanted.
