Who wouldn't love it? Hell, Lobo could be a merc/bounty hunter/private eye who gets paired up with Hal on a case at some point. That's be funny.

My idea for U. Lobo is not that radically different from normal DCU Lobo.

He wasn't able to kill the Czarnians like he'd planned on. Instead, the genetically modified insects sent the entire population of Czarnia, the immortal paradise, into eternal ceaseless agony. Besides Lobo, who had of course taken the only antidote to the venom he'd created. Somewhat disappointed that the Czarnians hadn't died, he just accepted that their screams of agony would echo out into the cosmos forever.

Happy with himself, he took off on his scratch built space bike, complete with its own life support bubble (because, as tough as he is, he can't live in hard vacuum for long). He uses his natural gifts as a Czarnian: enhanced senses, godlike regeneration (if he loses an arm, it grows back in moments), and incredible strength and durability on top of his own twisted genius level intellect to do whatever he wants. He's only a bounty hunter when it suits him, and seeks money solely to live the hard partying, hard drinking lifestyle that he loves. He has continually modified his bike to the point where it could be classified as a weapon of mass destruction, going to far as to implant the brain of one of his bounties into his bike to act as the bike's wetware and operating system (after her performed a lobotomy on the brain, of course, depriving it of any ability other than serving his needs). He's also invented his own armory's worth of weapons, each capable of causing indescribable pain if it isn't one of the weapons created to simply blow things to kingdom frag and back.

Yeah, but I don't know if I'd use him. He doesn't really work until all the heroes get established, and I'm waiting too damn long to do things in all the other RPGs I'm involved in as is, so I don't think I'll apply as Lobo.

Why wouldn't he work? He's really not asociated to any of the other characters. The only one I could really see him running into much would be Green Lantern, and there are thousands of other Green Lantersn besides Hal.

Ah, but the problem is, I freakin' hate solo arcs. If I want to write a story, I write a story. This is an RPG, and it's not fun at all if he's only interacting with NPCs.
