Is the roster up to date?

Yes.

Well, opening J'onn post is up.
Hope it meets with everyone's approval, but I wanted to start off with a small arc that focuses more on his human persona of John Jones.

I enjoyed it. As usual you're characterization felt natural, and the dialogue wasn't stiff.

So is Hal Jordan free?

He is, but if you're going to pick him, pm me, as i've started sorting out Guy's return, and i've been working out the Ultimate Green Lantern Corps :)

Oooo... that was pretentious of me :( Makes it seem like i'm in the know, and i've only been back a day :( Do I have to formally re-apply? I'm still on the roster (I think)

Yes, Hal Jordan is free. No, the roster isn't up to date. Since we never took you off the roster, re-application won't be nesscary Sentry. And damn it, GL, take the damned tortilla chips. :cmad:

Why do you have to go after the boys? That's uncalled for. :(

Well I only wrote like 3 posts. Basically his best friend got cancer he promised he'll fine a way to help, he starts working on a cure and Bannermain Chemical. hears of this and hires Rex he drops from college to work fulltime. Midway his friend dies and Rex just drops the project and he starts working on other things. Bannermain leaves the company and a up and comer named Roy McFarlane takes over. Rex's other friend Zeke just
finished college and joined Rex at Bannermain. Dr Rocco Togg starts hybriding creatures, PETA hears of this and sues. Rumors start that Lex Corps want to add a new branch. Roy wants to inpress Lex and takes a risk with Miraclo. The case ends and Bannermain loses the case and almost file for bankruptcy. Lex then goes ahead and buys another company. Now Miraclo is in pre-production and they need a new person to invested in Miraclo. On the side note Rex does not live in New York City but he lives in Metropolis' Suicide Slum at the moment.

Maybe if I'm approved, we could have Rex and Rick show up at the party. Rex could sort of use his son to get some sympathy from Wayne, and have Bruce throw some money his way.

Also, I still want to test out Catman and see how he works. I think it would be interesting having Catman in Gotham, and having Bruce and Thomas both sort of assume they know eachothers alter egos.

Only if you sign up as Catman. If you don't want to play him afterwards, you can always drop him in favor of someone else.

That can and will be done. He'll be kinda like a more morally ambigious Batman.

Is it ok if we say that Thomas trained a young Bruce Wayne in Africa how to hunt and track prey? Maybe taught him the importance and the power of animal totems.

Catman will be a good guy, but only in a vague meaning of the word. He won't be afraid to carve people up, maybe even kill them. It will be interesting to see how things turn out when Batman decides to try and shut down Catman.

I'll try and channel the sheer bad assery of Gail Simones Catman and blend it with my own "ultimate" ideas.

Sure. I wouldn't mind Bruce facing one of his old teachers again.

Screenname: Purple Man

Character You Would Like To Play: Thomas Blake. Alias; Catman

Basic History Of The Character: Growing up with physically and mentally abusive parents, Thomas found comfort with animals, mainly cats. His phyiscal prowess and good looks earned him the respect of his peers. Working at a pet store for a couple years, he earned enough money to fly to the heart of Africa. There he would live in the wild, hunting his own food. Protecting the wildlife, he killed several poachers and hunters, taking their clothing and supplies for himself.

It was during his time in Africa that a young man named Bruce Wayne sought out the wild cat-man of Africa. For several weeks they lived in they lived in the vast plains, where Thomas taught the young man the importance of animal totems and the power that they give. Wayne also learned hunting and tracking skills from Blake. When there time together was up, Wayne was given the advice to seek out his animal totem. In return for this priceless knowledge, Thomas was given a substantial sum of money which helped him open his own wildlife preserve. Bruce also helped Thomas become more human, though he still prefers the company of big cats.

Blake was startled to find a letter where he had trained the young Bruce Wayne several years ago. Knowing that only his former student could find him, Thomas opend it. A invitation to a party in the concrete jungles of Gotham.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:
1. He's a cat

2. He's a man.

3. Nanananana nanananana Catman! Catman! Catman!

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person: Having Blake create the identity of Catman in response to Bruces' Batman. Raise the question for both Bruce and Thomas: Do their names imply that they are more animal than man? If Bruce thought he was more man than bat shouldn't he have called himself Manbat?

Two Complete Sentances In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I can bring the sometimes psychotic, sometimes heroic, part animal, part man, Thomas Blake, the amazing Catman. I can also bring a nice chicken and rice dish if we are having a Ultimate DC potluck dinner.

Do You Know How To Post Pictures On The Hype?:

Master Bruce, can you pm me and let me know how things are devloping in the DCU world (i.e. story wise), just because, i've had an idea for a story arc that could (if everyone else likes it) affect the Ultimate DCU. But I want to run it by you in pm's before posting anything in here.
