I'd like to if I can apply for a second character? Donna Troy, I've already talked with Andy C, about her and I've shamefully already added her to my sig. I'm using an older style of my writing with her to help make it different.

Character You Would Like To Play: Ultimate Donna Troy
Basic History Of The Character: Originally sent to summon Princess Diana home to Paradise Island, she became overwhelmed with Man's world. As she searched for Diana, she met a young Corporal Terrance Long, a marine, a warrior, a devil dog, and he must have bewtiched the young Amazonian, she fell in love with him.
Donna's athletic talents were natural, and superb to her sister. But she was always down played and in the shadow of Diana, something she's always resented. Once in America, she forgot about that and is finding her upbringing as an Amazonian clashes with the New York life as her boyfriend Terrance tells her. She's yet to find Diana, but she's so open minded to this... American Way, that she almost doesn't care to bring Diana home.
Terrance has begun to introduce Donna to Christianity at the Solid Rock Gospel Church, she's already crossed the line giving her virginity to him and he has given her a promise ring and the two plan to travel to Georgia to meet his family. As far as Donna is aware, Steve is also her Father, she had always sought his advice over her Mother's.
She had a job working at a local Puerto Rican market, before someone discovered her and has plans to turn her into a supermodel.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?):
Donna is different, I would hope, I've really had to go back and look at her, read her many histories and in so I'm going to see if I can take her to the core and work out someone different from the Donna we all know. For the better at least, I hope, really make her Ultimate Donna, breaking the rules, and doing what Donna does best... Excel, and exceed expectations, her destiny is so much bigger here and her conflicts of interest, I would say are Ultimate.

Donna was amazed, as she walked the streets of New York, in her Amazonian dress. No one stared, but after all its New York. Terrance had come out of the barber shop looking for his Grecian girlfriend. “DONNA!” He shouted, running across a busy 40th and Lexington, “sorry!” He shouted, “DONNA!”
Turning on her heels, she smiled at him, and said, “Terrance! You look great, the barber, did a good job,” she commented, “you look more like a warrior now.” She kissed him on the cheek.
“That's great an all babe,” his strong figure towering her at his 6'5 height, over her 5'9 frame. He was out of uniform but still wore a Devil Dog tee shirt, that was tucked into his Sean Jean jeans, “but you cain't be wearn'n that kinda stuff gurl.” “C'mon, I'm a git you sum clothes, thatta make you look fly, like you should be, c'mon.” He put his arm around her waist guiding her into a taxi cab.
She frowned slightly annoyed at his comments, “this is a traditional Amazonian gown!”
“I know and you smok'n hot in it gurl, but listen this is New York, they be think'n you a hoe, and I know you ain't, besides gurl, I'm a buy what you want you know.” He told her as she smiled at the thought that he would be buying.
The cab was roughed up but the couple ignored it as they came into the shopping district.

Well I just noticed it, but later that day and today I've yet to see an application. Just found it peculiar was all since she put up the UDC sig before approval.
Yes, I have the application its not completed as I'm not happy with the sample post. I do apologize, but I put this sig up thinking I would get both applications in that day, and I had not. I ended up going out with a few friends >.< and I've been working this week so I do apologize I will get it in before Friday!

Right now it's an election year, and Lex Luthor (w/Pete Ross as his running mate) is the front-runner in the polls. The current President and Lex's competitors haven't been named yet, so they're free to do whatever with.

Basic History Of The Character: Pete grew up in Kansas, even attending Smallville High with one Clark Kent. As he grew older, Pete got into politics and became a congressman of his home state. Now Peter is currently the Vice Presidential canidate running under Lex Luthor.
Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character: I like villains, and what's more evil than a politician? I figured I'd give a normal person a try for once. That's all you're getting from me, you dirty ****s.

Pete Ross stood behind a desk in his private office near the Capitol Building. The television in the corner of the room was on CNN, and the reporter was interviewing people on the streets of Washington for their opinions of the newly announced Republican candidate, Peter Ross.
Senator Ross turned the volume up.
"I think he's the best choice, if you ask me", said a young man in a Yankee's jersey.
They clipped to two young women standing in front of a Starbucks.
"If he sticks it through, he's got my vote. I mean, look what he's done for Kansas. Guy's definitely got vision", stated the blond with the sunglasses.
"And he's kinda cute too", smiled the blonde's red-headed friend, her freckled cheeks turned up in a smile.
"Mary", exclaimed the blond as he gave her friend an embarrassed look.
Pete Ross smiled and turned off the television. Calmly he sat down at his desk and folded his hands under his chin.
The call box near the edge of his desk buzzed to life.
"Sir?"
"Yes, Ms. Forlorne?"
"Your...son is on line one. Do you wish to take it?"
Ross frowned, "Tell that disappointment never to contact me again or he'll regret it for the rest of his miserable little life."
"I...yes, sir."
The line went dead and Peter sat back in his chair and sighed. How he hated that waste of flesh. Ever since he had first laid eyes upon him he knew the boy would amount to nothing.

Well, I understand that, Harlekin, but this could have been handled differently. You don't run out into an OOC Thread, and point out someone's mistakes. That's going to make them feel embarrassed and maybe even slightly upset. You send them a PM, letting them know, hey by the way, I like the way your writing so and so but, I noticed in your banner, that you didn't spell this in actual Greek, while yes this may seem like this word in Greek to you, its not.

I've ran RPGs for two years now, and this is just something I feel as a fellow GM, could have been handled differently and those are the feelings that might be expressed. Because in my prospective he came off rude, as if he wanted to make me feel bad. It may not be his intention but that is what I felt, and again I apologize if I'm out of line.

The phrase, just so you know, can be considered an insult to someone's intelligence its like your attacking them, and it puts them automatically in a defensive form. So that leaves the rest of his statement as if your trying to put someone off.
Then he goes on and says, and if you DO, in caps that DO in caps makes it seem oh I have to change it, because... I don't want to look stupid. Then he continues on with proper spelling and you know I may still not get it, but at that point after reading his first message. That just makes me feel even more like wow, I'm ... an idiot. Again, it may not be his intention but if he approached someone who had never been to this side of Hype or was recommended to come here, and read that statement. That might put them off.
So thats what led to my reaction above:

Like Harl said, I didn't mean it as a personal attack, I meant it to improve your banners. I have had the Greek alphabet burned into my brain, and seeing it misused is one of my pet peeves. I'm sorry if I came off as rude, I really didn't mean to.

I recall when Harl mentioned something back when DC:NA was alive--a mistake I made with a character--and I just took it as the help it was meant to be. Sure I felt embarrassed at first because I mixed up parts of 2 different chars' past, but it just to help me is all.
I guess my point is, in SHH we openly give each other the help and constructive criticism in the OOC threads more often then the PM procedure you seem used to. I've done the PM thing before a few times, but the banner thing GL mentioned isn't something big to worry about.

That's quite alright, but again GL, really just come to that person, even if its not me in a PM. Because what you did there, was not something I think I would've done if I'm going to correct someone. So its fine, for further reference please be careful how you approach that.
I also have to sit back and think did I handle this correctly? To be honest I have customer service burnt into my brain so I think how can I best handle this without offending someone. Because I deal with people who are behind on their mortgage, need to make a payment or who don't understand why their payments went up. Thanks, Green Lantern just add me to your IM and we'll be fine.

Well, the procedure I'm use to, I feel really just minimizes this because. Someone can go off the handle, and then we have an entire issue of GM vs Members, and it can get way out of hand. So the PM procedure is just to say hey, I feel... whatever you know? I mean some GMs in the same genre I've been in the past four years, do just do public things. Not everyone knows how to handle it, and so while yes that may be something you do here on SHH! Not everyone who is new here is going to get that, and it'll be well why didn't you tell me before. I also have to sit back and think did I handle this correctly? To be honest I have customer service burnt into my brain so I think how can I best handle this without offending someone. Well, the procedure I'm use to, I feel really just minimizes this because. Someone can go off the handle, and then we have an entire issue of GM vs Members, and it can get way out of hand. So the PM procedure is just to say hey, I feel... whatever you know? I mean some GMs in the same genre I've been in the past four years, do just do public things. Not everyone knows how to handle it, and so while yes that may be something you do here on SHH! Not everyone who is new here is going to get that, and it'll be well why didn't you tell me before. So thats what, and why I handle things differently
