.'ULTIMATE DC UNIVERSE' RPG Application.
Screenname: Blacklight
Character You Would Like To Play: The Dove (Don Hall)
Basic History Of The Character: Many centuries ago, in an ancient plane known as Druspa Tau, two ancient beings known as the Lords of Chaos and Order once use to rule the dimension in harmony, until a disagreement led to an all out war between the two forces. The war had reached throughout many dimensions, until a higher power known as the Unity had stopped the madness, and had given the Lords a more predominant way to settle their score. They were both allowed to pick one avatar to represent them and give them abilities to combat one another to the death, on the planet of the Unity's choosing. That planet being Earth. Whichever Lord's avatar that survives, would mean that the Unity would grant them full rule of Druspa Tau. The two people chosen to combat were Hank and Don Hall. Hank to represent Chaos, Don to represent Order.
Hank and Don are brothers who live in Washington DC. Their father was a Supreme Court Justice, and both sons are attending college. Don is a sophomore who wants a job in the legal system to become a lawyer, while Hank is a senior who wants to becomae a professional football player. Both of them generally care for one another and look out for each other, until they were chosen by forces beyond their control to become the Hawk and the Dove.
Chosen by the female Lord of Order, Terataya, Don Hall was given powers whenever he said the word "Dove!" to become her avatar on Earth. Don was chosen for his liberal ways and use of reasoning and thoughtfulness when in a fight, unlike his more aggressive brother Hank. Hank was chosen to become the Hawk by saying "Hawk!" by T'Charr, the male Lord of Chaos, to be his representative, being that like T'Charr, he is violent, hot-headed and reactionary. Don's powers include enhanced strength, super-agility, super-speed (more than Hank), a healing factor, flight, and can channel his inner peacefulness to increase his powers. Hank's abilities are super-strength (stronger than Don), enhanced speed, a healing factor (much faster and superior to Don's), and can channel inner rage to increase his powers.
As the Dove, it is Don's objective to defeat the Hawk, and as the Hawk, it's Hank's objective to kill the Dove. The fact that they are brothers is unbeknownst to them, for they do not know each other's identities, nor do they much care. However, neither of them won't ignore people in need, especially with their abilities, and they won't let the war between each other stop them from being heroes, especially Don.
Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:
1. After watching the episode "Hawk and Dove" of Justice League Unlimited, the Don and Hank versions of Hawk and Dove interested me, especially with their mechanic.
2. Being that my plans of their ultimization is to make Hawk and Dove unwilling enemies instead of partners, of the two, Dove I think I could see myself better playing than Hawk, since Hawk is more aggressive, and Dove is more reasonable.
3. Ultimate Justice League FTW!
What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): In a nutshell, instead of partners who work together and know each other's identities, they are enemies. Victims of their own views on how to hande things. They have no clue who the other is under the mask or have any intention to find out. Whether they will ever turn on their benefactors and/or work together after finding out that their opponent is their brother remains unknown, but hey, who knows what the future holds?
Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): An interesting take on two relatively underused characters. And a chance for anyone who wants to beat my a** IC a chance to do so by picking up Hawk. PICK UP HAWK!!!!!
