I'm pretty sure they've recorded the episode by now so we'll get whoever we get.

The thing that's pissing everybody off is that Josh Keaton already recorded several episodes of Spidey guest spots on Avengers EMH, one of the last episodes before Loeb takes over and he still doesn't leave Yost and Fine's work alone, he changed it without anybody's consent (not even the voice director) so he could have Drake Bell voice Spidey for some stupid ass reason.

They had Daran Norris voicing a cop in the episode, and there's no way they brought a big voice actor like him in to do such a small role like that, so he was probably JJJ again as well but was dubbed to J.K. Simmons a la Ultimate. And Grey Delisle was Betty Brant again, another TSSM alumni. It would have been like a psuedo-crossover with the Avengers, and just a nice little loveletter to TSSM from Yost and Fine (who have said they are big fans of TSSM). Loeb really ticked me off on this one.

I for one do not. I wouldn't have even posted anything if not for the news about Josh Keaton.
That news, it just plain sucks. It would somewhat feel like there was a tiny bit more of the Spider-man from SSM, just because of Josh Keaton's voice. Do you watch Young Justice? They had Josh Keaton do the voice for the Black Spider and I thought it was pretty cool because it reminded me of SSM

So I can't just ignore Ultimate Spider-Man like a normal person. I might not even care if Ultimate lasted 3 seasons since I wouldn't be watching it anyway, but it seems Loeb is determined to infect other shows I actually enjoy with Ultimate's stink. Every character that's appeared on both shows has been played by different actors anyway, so what's one more? Hearing Josh Keaton do Spidey again on A:EMH would have been the best thing ever, to feel like Spectacular was still around just for a little while, but no. Loeb wants to take that away from me too. And for what? To trick people into watching his awful Spidey show? What the hell's the difference if he's gonna cancel EMH anyway? This cannot stand. Loeb has crossed the line. He must be stopped.

Love the last sentence, lol. :woot:

I wasn't overly happy with what Loeb's been doing to Marvel Animation (regressing the progress they've been making in the last few years towards finally getting their animation department comparable to DC, imo) but this is just unnecessary. It's forcing stuff down people's throats.

the time has come for the SHH villagers to arm themselves with torches and pitchforks and hunt down the monster... :woot:

:pal:

Not every Spider-Man cartoon is meant for the long time fan. Do people not realize there are kids that just get a kick out of seeing Spider-Man? I haven't even seen this show, or Spectacular Spider-Man, or A:EMH. It is obviously not intended for me, the 25 year old who has read Spider-Man for 20 years. What is the point in comparing those shows to each other, and on top of that, to the actual comic book? Quality Control?

You really should watch The Spectacular Spider-Man, it was an incredible show. Smartly plotted, likable characters (even the unlikable characters developed and became likable), a real mind boggling mystery with the Green Goblin, spot on characterization, nicely choreographed fights, the list goes on. Great for all ages.

after the stunt that was pulled with the Avengers cartoon i partially want to boycott USM.. i was able to handle it...some episodes i've enjoyed so far. I personally LOVE the wolverine episode.. but i am ROYALLY PISSED OFF at what they did to Josh

I still want to see the Wolverine episode (I have faith in Bendis for that one), but they had to show the average Thor one first and then go on hiatus for a month didn't they? :o

So Josh Keaton's voice was re-dubbed for EMH by Drake Bell.......lame, real lame, Marvel.

This royally pisses me off. I was looking forward to this and now I almost want to skip the episodes just so I don't have to listen to Bell's grating voice.

I watched the 90's cartoon at 8 years old and that was a REAL Spider-Man cartoon kids could enjoy. That's what made him my favorite hero. If you can't make Spider-Man for the kiddie crowd and still keep him Spider-Man then just don't make it at all.

Once again, kids are not as dumb as people think.

I used to enjoy the '90s Fox cartoon when I was a kid too. I enjoyed Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. I enjoyed Chinese Web! None of those are entirely accurate representions of Spider-Man from the source material. But a kid doesn't care, they can just ENJOY it because it's Spider-Man. Did you care that Spider-Man couldn't punch people in the Fox show due to the stations strict animation rules? I didn't even notice till I read some interviews with the shows crew years later!

Spider-Man For the Kiddie Crowd is not Spider-Man. It's Spider-Man for the Kiddie Crowd. It is an entry point for a kid to jump off and discover the real Spidey material out there if they are that interested and choose to seek it out.

Exactly the same for me, I haven't watched this show since the awful Iron Spidey episode. But after reading what they've done with A:EMH I'm very annoyed.

I was perfectly happy to just ignore this show but if its going to affect spread to other shows then I want nothing more than it to just die!

Been kind of behind on AEMH lately can you believe I'm still on Episode 2?) but as I understand it, they actually dared bring in Drake Bell to voice Spidey in this cartoon.

Why? After all that talk about the shows not being in continuity with each other.

At least tell me that he didn't screw it up. But seeing as AEMH's writing is lots better than USM, I don't see how he can.

What annoys me is that they take the "Ultimate Spider-Man" thing so literally. "Do you want to be the ULTIMATE Spider-Man?!" I mean, come on...

Bit of an a$$ h.o.l.e move from marvel and man of action:

They are deleting comments from their facebook pages that states Ultimate Spider-man cartoon sux. There were so many, i think they couldn't remove them all, but theyr reduced their amounts by half. Mine were removed. also i never used profanity or things like "you suck marvel" or whatever.

Seriously wtf, are they trying to force people to like this garbage or what ???

Heh, they removed my one comment about Spider-Man being a Deadpool wannabe and menace to society.

it's called trying to pull the wool over the fans' eyes by deceiving them and telling them like it AIN'T...

in reality, they're not deaf and blind about what the fans are angry about... they know DAMN WELL how it is in fandom... they're not dumb to that fact, they're just being dumb about how they're going about it in the making of the show and how they're dealing with fan reaction...

which is basically them having a not-give-a-s**t attitude of "F**K 'EM"...

Seriously, this is effed up.

I can understand they remove comments with profanity, but to just delete negative comments for the purpose of hiding the truth is ****ed up!

OH HELL YES... I LOVE IT!...

they keep ignoring the criticism by deleting the negative posts, then just keep on pouring the criticism even more...

what's that Hydra saying?... "cut off a limb and two more shall take it's place"...

they delete a major percentage of negative posts and twice as many shall take their place...

keep on keepin' on, raise even MORE serious hell, don't let up on 'em and make those bastards who are trying to cover up the truth squirm like worms...

I don't love it at all. Marvel's enclosing themselves in Internet vibranium more and more. At the rate this is going they will completely close themselves off to the public and that will help no one including Marvel.

they may call it damage control...

the fans may call it censorship...

regardless of WHAT it's called, it clearly shows that they're running chickens**t scared...

The way you're reveling in this shows your character more than Marvel's actions say about them.

my character is a HELL of a lot more reliable, honorable and truthful than those "creatives" in Marvel animation...

I STAND by my comments... take 'em and interpret them any way you want to... just stating my opinions and views...

you agree with me, fine... you don't, THAT works too...

the only revelling I'll be doing is when the Ultimate Spidey cartoon, Loeb, Quesadilla and all the rest of the "creatives" fade away into well-deserved obscurity and a brand new regime comes into play that has a lot more respect for the fans than what the present regime has shown in the past couple of months or so...

That article got updated with more shocking news:

"UPDATE: Few users are confirming that not only their negative comments have been removed, but they are now blocked from posting comments on Marvel and Man of Action facebook pages. "

LOL WTF, that explains why i couldnt write a comment on man of action facebook today. This is pathetic!

Each day it's getting more unlikely there will be a USM panel at Comic-Con. I can see the reluctance in dealing with criticism when there's little to no chance of the show changing its tone.

looks like the policy of these nitwits is...

"see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"

Can't see a panel either.

I don't think they really have to deal with a lot of criticism at the panel. Everyone still remember the outrage over the Mass Effect 3 ending? When the panel came along, no one said a word or tried to tear them a new one. Just a bunch of random questions.

Typical. On the internet, say what you want, act however you want. You're faceless. Practically untouchable. Racism, criticism, trolling...in person, people punk out. None of that comes out in real life.

The same people who show up to panels about shows or comics they dislike, may be the ones that don't take that chance to speak their minds. But surely, they nerd-rage all over the web.
