The new CGI Batman show that will continue once Batman the Brave & the Bold concludes in US has been confirmed as "Beware the Batman" Courtesy of World's Finest & DC Nation

The next Batman animated series, debuting in 2013, is titled Beware the Batman. According to Register, the CGI animated series will spotlight a classic looking Batman teaming up with a gun-toting Alfred Pennyworth and a female ninja sidekick. Beware the Batman is executive-produced by Glen Murakami, and will also explore the mythology’s more obscure villains, such as Professor Pyg, alongside mainstays such as The Joker and The Penguin. In the series, Batman will team up with a younger female sidekick named Katana. During the keynote, Register added the sidekick is “kind of Robin, but not really.”

So instead of Cassandra Cain they went with Katana? Okay... >_>

Also for the lovely little Bronys out there, you might be interested to hear the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, they will also do DC girl related shorts:
the creator behind My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic creating a series of animated shorts teaming Wonder Girl, Batgirl, Supergirl called “Super Best Friends Forever,”

Other short animations and clay animations include:
Highlights include Aardman Animation creating new claymation Batman shorts, Plastic Man animated shortsand there is also a series of Doom Patrol animated shorts in production. The block will also host a series of behind-the-scenes videos, special interviews, and much more.

Well...it sounds different, I guess. The fact that it's CGI probably kills my interest in it, at least to some degree (if I hear it's good enough, I'll still check it out, but I won't rush to it with that kind of animation). Cool that they're keeping with the BATB idea of portraying more obscure characters here and there.

A new Batman show? That's pretty neat and that....OMG!!! LAUREN FAUST WORKING ON A FEMALE DC HEROES SHOW?!!!!! :wow:

Doom Patrol also sounds good.

she's been involved with the powerpuff girls, foster's home for imaginary friends, the iron giant, and cats don't dance. she's also pretty cute.

behold the power of google

With a name like Wes Craven I'm pretty sure that guy could have done anything and been successful. Just a Random thought.

Awesome looking Knightwing.

Another Batman cartoon?
Why not just stick to what
they are doing? Continue the
seasons, expand on the storylines.

It's like Spectacular Spider-Man. Why cancel
a good thing and start over again?

Not as a babysitter

No parent is going to trust someone with a spooky name like Wes Craven with their kids :o

Also Friendship is Magic!

She's pretty amazing :hrt:

Indeed. Though I will give it a chance, I can't say I'm too excited about another Batman cartoon. I'm a bit iffy about Katana, and while I don't oppose Alfred using guns, him being a gun nut is kind of weird.

I hope they give Brave & the Bold a good ending at least

Are you not a fan of CGI Tron Bonne

I'll probably check the show out though I'm not so sure I like the sound of this gun toting Alfred

CGI superhero shows remind me of that MTV Spider-Man, which was just......souless. :o

If they wanted a plucky little Asian bad ass for Bats to work with, they should used Cassie Cain.

Katana only works with the Outsiders. (Which would have been a much better idea for a show if it was Batman and the Outsiders and hopefully not those lame as teenager versions from Brave and the Bold. )
