The problem lies in the fact that a lot of older fans believe the Doctor should be an unknowable character; you can get the gist of his personality (in that particular regeneration), but you'll never be able to really get in his head or find out his past. This dates back to the 60's when the show first started. The title implies that we don't know who the Doctor is.

But today's writers still want to write episodes that are character-driven, so they feel free to focus on the companions.

I just want adventures, and aliens and battles!

I want the Cybermen to get a proper two part adventure again

They've been getting no love lately and this upsets me. I want them to be the monster for the finale next season

Sidenote: They have bacon flavored sunflower seeds which I find.. disgusting. All those fake flavors and preservatives. But I think Sunflower seeds + Bacon sounds delicious! Need to figure out how to include those two ingredients into a single recipe.

I love the Cybermen! They were always really scary to me. Bu so retro looking. I just want more Doctor adventures. We might never know who he is. But his actions are always how we read him and they're fun!

The Cybermen were terrifying when I first saw them. Have no idea what they were like before the ninth doctor (where I started watching) though.

In a semi-related segue, character-driven plots are beginning to chafe on me lately.

I like character-driven stuff. I just think sometimes the balance between that and the spectacle is off. Both are important to a really great superhero comic.

It's just that Bacon in salad just becomes a game of find the bacon in the salad, to quote a wise and very pale fat dude.

I don't eat bacon on my salads anymore because I've just stopped eating salads. All of the stuff I have to add to one to make it palatable defeats the purpose of eating a salad in the first place.

If I wanted vegetables, I'd sooner steam broccoli. Because unlike lettuce, broccoli has a flavor.

Do you have any idea how much weight people would lose if they could turn their taste buds off and on?

I just got home and all my stuff was rearranged in room, with a coffee table now placed in there.

I was like ''NOT UP IN HERE''.

I took that table, placed it awkwardly on the stairs and left a note on my door.

it's like saying Gale might be gay, there's not enough to say either way. But yeah I don't think it matters to the story at all.

My friend thinks he might've been in love with his first cook. The one we see in the flashback. That would certainly explain how a seemingly competent and well-to-do businessman got into the drug game, if drugs were the cook's passion and Gus' love for the cook drew Gus into it himself. Other bits of my friend's "evidence" are the fact that Gus is a middle-aged man who lives alone in a pretty stylishly furnished home and the fact that he knows how to cook dinner for himself. Not exactly the strongest basis for a theory, but it's still an interesting thought.

It's funny how this show started with what seemed like the ridiculous notion of a normal high school chemistry teacher becoming a meth cook, only to show later on that it's not as uncommon as you might think. Some of the top dogs have been normal people who got sucked into the drug game one way or another.
