Anyone hating on Jason Todd hasn't been reading the Outlaws book. It is pure fire. I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant.

You've obviously got some daddy issues.

The Outlaws isn't that good. But the bits with Todd redeem it enough to keep me reading.

While looking for Blade of the Immortal's latest volume in my local Kinokuniya (great bookstore by the way), a huge tome-like Indy comic called "Habibi" caught my eye by some guy called Craig Thompson. I'll admit, the Quranic looking patterns of the cover looked extremely out of place between the new IDW Dungeons and Dragons hardcovers (which look pretty sweet actually). I was interested but two things put me off. One was the 40 dollars price tag which is KIND of hard for me for now, the other is the fear I might be getting yet another comic which pretty much demonizes Islamic culture as a whole.

Lo and behold, I found this:

And now I want it even more. Its definitely on my want list.

Ah, the guy who made Blankets wrote Habibi? I might have to read that, I really loved Blankets. One of the few comics to twist my emotions.

Last night was incredibly fun. The burlesque performers were so beautiful and sexy and fab, such a good time seeing these amazing ladies perform

And the two lesbian burlesque performers who my girlfriend knew were absolutely incredible in person such funny and amazing women. One of whom came home with us at the end of the night :awesome:

Now I'm going to spend today just curled up under the blankets watching movies.

Right now I'm watching the Muppets Christmas Carol which is as we all know the greatest movie ever made

Lies.

The greatest movie ever made is clearly Muppet Treasure Island.

Fair point Twylight Muppet Treasure Island is Muppet-tastic fabulousness

Those might not be real words >.>

But I think we can agree Muppet Christmas Carol is one of the best christmas movies ever :)

Both of you are liars.

The greatest movie ever made is obvious either Showgirls, Lesbian Vampire Killers, or Bio-Dome :o

Whut

Personally I think Lesbian Vampire Killers would have been 100% better and less rubbish if the lesbian vampires had won and killed the entire main cast

That would have made me smile :)

As for Showgirls it did at least teach us an important lesson

That lesson being: everybody got AIDS and **** :o

comments like this by you is the reason why i stopped going into the lounge. now you're here, in my home. ohh well, blocked i guess. not much else i can do.

Going out to see Sherlock Holmes soon looks like its going to be pretty great :)

I loves some Robert Downey Jr :atp:

I ain't even gonna lie I loved the s*** out of Muppet Christman Carol when I was a kid. Micheal Caine was boss.

I agree. And then had an all girls orgy celebration party

Showgirls really was a great movie, though. :o

Well, I loved looking at Elizabeth Berkley and Gina Gershon in it. And that lesbian kiss in the end was really hot.

That's the only two things I can say positive about it.

Oh, and BOOBS!

Okay, it's time to get this thread back to its roots.

Here is a list of comics I am going to have pulled from now on. Please tell me any additions or deletions that need to be made:

Definites.
  • Action Comics
  • Batman
  • Stormwatch
  • The Shade
  • Red Hood and the Outlaws
  • Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors
  • Justice League
  • Aquaman
  • Swamp Thing
  • Animal Man

Possibles.

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Batwoman
  • Amazing Spider-Man
  • Green Lantern
  • Daredevil

Thoughts people? Suggestions? Anything really fantastic out there that I am missing?

TMNT is awesomeness incarnate. As is Daredevil. Personally, I'm following the FF, so I'd recommend those. As for your DC stuff, I like most of your list, though I think that GLC is the best GL book right now.

I like your definites. If i may suggest some additions:

1) Wonder Woman
2) All Star Western (Hex teams up with Amadeus Arkham in old Gotham. AMAZING art and atmosphere)
3) Frankenstein (He leads a squad made up of a vampire, a werewolf, a mummy, a fishwoman and his 4 armed ex wife and they fight lovecraftian monsters. Its epic!)
4) Demon Knights
5) Batwoman to your definites
6) GL over GLC. Sinestro and Hal make it like a buddy cop movie.
7) If you ve been following Batman Inc, dont miss the 50 page finale of the first season called "Leviathan Strikes" this Wednesday.

I dont get the love for Stormwatch btw. Its a really bad book with bad art, but that's just me i guess.

Anything really fantastic out there that I am missing?
WW and All-Star Western for sure.

See, I had no idea Leviathan came out this week. That is fantastic news indeed.

As for Green Lantern Corps., I have just been incredibly uninterested in John Stewert lately. Same for Guy actually. I really enjoyed the dynamic set up with Guy and Kyle, but naturally DC went and Britta'd that one. Then again, I'm excited for a Kyle and Saint Walker pairing. Hopefully Kyle can teach him how to relax and not be so on all the time with his religious mumbo jumbo.

For the main Green Lantern title, I have not been enjoying it, at all. This is odd because, while I'm not a major Hal supporter, I've enjoyed GL as a whole since his return. Even Sinestro isn't doing it for me lately. I think I'm just ready for a threat to present itself that isn't related to the Corps or the Guardians or a secret past. I want a freaking alien bad guy who isn't related to the Corps somehow. Haven't gotten that in a long, long time. I suppose the Weaponer of Qward was the closest thing there.

I began WW, but it didn't click with me. And I really am uninterested in Westerns. Demon Knights might be the one title I might try and find back issues of. Especially with its connections to Stormwatch. ****ing love Stormwatch.

TMNT needs to use different colored bandanas though. Can't tell the turtles apart at all. Gets damn confusing.
