I've had my Walkman for only a year, and it's already dying. I have to adjust the charger a certain way for it to charge, and the sound is starting to come out all staticy.

Anyone got any recommendations for an mp3 player? Keep in mind, I like to keep my mp3 player separate from my phone because I listen to mp3s all night at work and I like my phone to always have a charge.
I had a couple Sony Walkman MP3 players back in the day and they kept breaking. I had to keep taking them back to the store since then I just stuck to IPods which don't have as good battery life but are more reliable.

Going to see that new horror film The Woman in Black next week its looking pretty good :)

And I'm watching some Transformers Prime right now finally watching the season finale. Megatron you sneaky jive mutha :ninja:

Speaking of fab cartoons is there a start date for Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes season 2 yet

I'mma needing my Avengers fix

I do nothing but order stuff off Amazon. There's not a lot of stores around me that I don't have to take the public bus for (and Syracuse's transportation sucks), so I rely on Amazon.

Amazon is pretty amazing and useful

I order a lot of trades and action figures and stuff off there and they usually deliver really quick as well

Here's the bit that kind of sucks about Amazon. If I'm ordering from here, DVDs, books, software and Music CDs are ok. But apparently toys and other action figures can only be ordered within the country. A toy ordered on Amazon.Jp can only be shipped within Japan.

Not sure why. I guess to control the aftermarket scalping scene.

Really?

Amazon.com delivers some toys to other countries you might have better luck on that site sandwraith :)

When I ordered my Batman movie anthology blu ray it had the UK rating stamp on the box and covers. It's annoying how the UK ratings stamp pretty much ruins the covers.

You can for most things, but sand is talking about Toys specifically, which is apparently a different beast for some reason. But for other stuff you can. I have the Mulholland Drive blu-ray release coming from Amazon UK, for instance.

Is the blu ray not out in the us Tron Bonne

Manic your new avatar gets a  from me

Frobisher is epic :hrt:

I've only read one comic featuring Frobisher, and I thought he was alright in it. Then I listened to Holy Terror and The Maltese Penguin and was like, "Best companion EVAR!"

Yeah, as irritating as Apple fanboys can be, the iPod really does corner the market on mp3 players for very good reason. Why are you trying to avoid getting one of them?

I don't like Apple's prices. My first ever mp3 player was a ZEN Micro by Creative, and it was $50 cheaper than its Apple counterpart (the iPod Mini). My Walkman is also about $40 cheaper than an iPod Nano, but I may have abused it a little in its first few months, and that's coming back to haunt me.

*sigh* Looks like I'll just have to bite the bullet and get an iPod, then.

I had a Samsung something or another that copped out on me awhile back and was going to get an iPod, but I found a sweet deal on a Zune Touch (half off + the radio tuner/charger for free). I guess it was because the Zune's were going out of commission, but I like it anyway. Even if it is a Zune.

Nope. It and The Elephant Man were released by a studio called StudioCanal in various regions, but for some reason, not in the States. I guess David Lynch is more popular and respected outside here or something, I don't know.

No, not generally. I'm pretty sure one of the features that was highly touted about Blu-ray was the fact that it was a region free format. There are exceptions, though, but for the most part not so much

I here alot of Americans talk about Regions with their DVD/Blu-Ray players. Are all Region DVD/Blu-Ray players really hard to find or expensive in the U.S or something?

StudioCanal is a French Film studio who own the distrubtion rights to various films including alot of defunct British film studios.

Elephant Man probably hasn't been released in the U.S because StudioCanal might not own the rights to distribute the movie in North America

Not at all. I actually bought one from Amazon.co.uk for like $40. This was like 3 years ago.

so, i guess dc hates hawkman fans even more than i hate hawkman

So my house almost caught fire the other day, thankfully we're just dealing with the lingering smell of smoke. Anyone know how to get the smell of smoke out of clothes? Tired of all the people at work asking if I smoke.
