Brad Bird should have done Avengers. I still am not fully confident in Whedon.

Yeah, but who could've seen coming that an animated director would have done such a great job on not only his first big budget film, but his first live action film.

So how did everybody do swag wise? I know I sound like a dick but I'm always slightly disappointed by my gifts. Though it's my fault for wanting expensive things. This year wasn't bad though. A whole bunch of gift cards and the like.

I'm not trying to compare the two. It's obvious that Marvels cheap tactics are holding them back.

I'm just trying to explain that you can't see that coming in hindsight with Bird.

I always ask fro movie, and thats pretty much what i get. I also got alot of gift cards to the cinema, since my relatives know i love going to the movies.

i got a fuzzy beenie that looks like stitch from lilo and stitch and an itunes gift card. i got to speak to my folks, which was nice, and now i get to sleep for 4 hours before going to my bosses hanakkah party today.

I got bunch of boxers, socks and undershirts...Which is stuff I desperately needed, but would never waste my own money on... Also, I got a Barnes and Noble gift card, and my lady got me a watch that I won't see until tomorrow...

My parents really dug the fire pit I got for them, so all in all... Nice Christmas.

Christmas family time is over, gonna rest for a few hours then head to the Casino. I just re-read What Ever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow. wow that story is amazing.

I was given Star Wars on Blu-ray, Patriots Gear, Nerf Gun, Limitless on Blu-ray. All in all it wasn't bad. Oh and from my parents I got clothing items. Stoked to watch Star Wars.

Christmas was pretty low-key overall this year for me. Usually the immediate family all comes together for a diner at my Grandparent's house, but a lot of them had some expectancies arise, so a lot of them didn't show. Not a big deal, but it made it feel a lot smaller than usual

Gift-wise I mostly got cash and clothes from family, per usual. From friends I got some gift cards, The Beatles' Revolver (I think this is becoming a bit of a running gag), and someone told me they ordered the seasons for a HBO show called Carnivàle, but they didn't get here on time. I didn't know anything about them, but he seems to think it's right up my alley (I wikied it and it does seem interesting). And someone got me a Sailor Moon disguise pen key chain, which I thought was pretty cute, and a new journal.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and my LCS guy let me have a copy of Batman Incorporated: Leviathan Strikes! for free, too. Pretty nice gift.

So while i was at the casino last night i won $200 on craps. on my way out i hear the Joker laughing and the Dark Knight's theme. I look over and I see this huge screen with 6 chairs. it's a Batman 3D penny slot machine. i put in $10, i hit the bonus, and i race the Joker on the screen for the jackpots. about 20 min later i walk away with an extra $50. best slot machine, ever.
