Haven't seen The Big O yet but I've heard some pretty good things about it![]()
It wasn't anything ground-breaking, but def worth a watch, IMO.

as well. Overall I dug Gundam Wing I think I would definitely list it as one of my favourite Gundam shows It wasn't anything ground-breaking, but def worth a watch, IMO.
All kinds of fun stuff coming up!

1) Drive: The best movie of the year hands down. Ryan Gosling steals the show as the unnamed sociopathic stunt driver who gets dirty with Bryan Cranston & Albert Books who plays an excellent villain, added with an amazing original soundtrack, beautiful kills and characters, this was the movie of the year hands down.
2) X-Men First Class: Matthew Vaughn finally does the X-Men movie he wanted, and boy was it amazing. Focusing on characters, most importantly on Charles Xavier’s & Erik Lensherr’s friendship and its’ downfall, with great performances from Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence while alongside adding some high action pack sceneries, this was the summer movie of the year for me easily.
3) Hanna: Hanna Heller is a 16-year old girl who has lived in the wilderness with her father to train her into the perfect soldier, now they allow themselves to become aware for the CIA and the ultimate cat & mouse game is set up! Thrilling action, great acting from Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett & Eric Bana give this spy thriller a lot to be excited about.
4) Captain America the First Avenger: A love letter to the Captain America created by Jack Kirby & Joe Simon while also being inspired by modern Cap writers such as Mark Millar & Ed Brubaker makes a perfect mix of heroism, comedy and action with superb acting from Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving & Hayley Atwell. Fun origin story movie to one of my favorite superheroes out there.
5) Rise of the Planet of the Apes: Surprise hit movie of the year with Andy Serkis giving an Oscar worthy performance thru his acting abilities and the incredible talented WETA workshop team. Andy Serkis stars as the ape Caesar who leads to Apes to an revolution, but this movie is just a lot more than just Apes revolving against humans, this is about Caesar and his family. While the movie has some pointless supporting characters and utterly pointless love interest, what Serkis, James Franco and John Lithgow manage to do, is tell a heartwarming story about a family.
6) 50/50: Emotionally powerful, very up lifting drama comedy regarding a man receiving cancer with 50% chances of survival. Joseph-Gordon Levitt’s character story is wonderful and Seth Rogen plays a very great best friend for him. As I said: very up lifting and touching movie.
7) Drive Angry: Oh hell yes, exploitation and Nic Cage come together in this beautiful, incredibly under rated action flick. It’s a damn shame exploitation genre has becoming such a niche market with fun movies like Black Dynamite and Drive Angry coming out. Anyhow not only does Nicholas Cage play a total badass anti-hero, we also got William Fichtner playing a totally cool slick devil accountant with badass scenes and lines. Fun exploitation movie, which I believe people would really enjoy if they just knew about the film.
8) All Star Superman: Superman’s last hurrah, an adaptation of the same titled Grant Morrison & Frank Quitely, Dwayne McDuffie and Bruce Timm give a good adaptation that sadly cuts a lot of context from the comic, but luckily and most importantly keeps the same powerful themes with saying goodbye and Superman doing his herculean tasks. James Denton as Superman was wonderful; he carried the essence of kindness and calm to him, while Anthony LaPaglia has the viciousness and cruelty of Lex Luthor. The extras in the Blu-ray we’re incredible as well, from commentary of Grant Morrison and Bruce Timm to other fun specials.
9) Attack the Block: With great music, pacing and well casted teenage actors, this is a surprise comedy that kicks ass in so many ways. Nothing greater than seeing wannabe teenage gangstas having their turf war with aliens, drug dealers and the police all mixed up to the brawl. Genius!
10) Kung Fu Panda 2: We gotta save Kung Fu!!!! Man what a great plot or what guys? The sequel to the 2008 hit action comedy returns, with better action scenes, more focus on the characters, especially Po & his Goose father, and did I mention better action?! Heck yeah! Incredibly entertaining with Gary Oldman as an sociopathic villain and despise the last minute forced twist ending being all crap and a questionable plot hole, this was incredibly entertaining movie and a lot of fun.
Honorable mentions in no particular order:
- The Beaver
- The Muppets
- Batman: Year One
- Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
- Source Code
- I saw the Devil
- 13 Assassins
- Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
- Grant Morrison: Talking with Gods
- Hysteria
- Horrible Bosses
- Cowboys & Aliens
- The Skin I Live in
- David Fincher’s Girl with a Dragon Tattoo
- Thor
And my personal most hated films of the year would be these two particular films: Green Lantern & the Immortals. However I will warmly recommend The Three Musketeers & Season of the Witch, which are so awful, they become very entertaining action flicks.
PS: Movies such as Ideas of March, Shame, J. Edgar & Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy; I won’t be able to see till 2012, hence they are not on this list, but I am anxious to see them and I do wonder will they make it to the 2012 list.

I'm seeing "J. Edgar" and "This Must be the Place" on Friday and then Shame on January 13th, so yeah this year is off to a good start, then we get some delicious crap like Underworld 4 and hopefully Cranked-awesome Ghost Rider. =)
My Top movies of 2011
What we're your most liked movies of 2011?![]()
I can't think of 10 movies I saw in 2011 that to me were some of the greatest of all time. I could only name Drive and Tree of Life when it comes to that.
Good list. Raid as well is one I'm looking forwards to. I'm willing to bet it will be the best action movie of 2012John Carter, Prometheus, Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-man, and The Hobbit.
Good year for movies indeed.
I sure hope the goddamn SuperFerret loses sleep over me."Enemies"?
On the Hype?
News to me. I've made friends here, but if I don't like you from your posts, you can be damned sure that the goddamn SuperFerret isn't losing sleep over you.
Being that he doesn't have a Big Ears to protect his sleep.
I won't see melancholia because I can't stand Lars Von Trier

2012 is off to a great start. My paternal grandfather passed away today.![]()

John Carter, Prometheus, Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-man, and The Hobbit.
Good year for movies indeed.

Yeah, it's gonna be awesome. (Even though the new season of Avengers should've started last year and was delayed to coincide with the premiere of Loeb's s***ty Ultimate Spider-Man pet project this year.)
(Not that I'm bitter.)
o)

I want to see Batman pop up in Ultimate Spidey...Brooklyn Rage
Ultimate Spidey might be good though Corp. Paul Dini is one of the people working on it that must be a good sign![]()
