Chronicle was amazing. That is all.

Was totally bummed to learn today that I wasn't the only one having major problems with Comixology on my Kindle Fire. There's some big screw up where it doesn't show all the comics available for purchase. I jumped on the relaunched Batman: Dark Knight because David Finch is an absolute fave of mine. However, only three issues show up on the Kindle for purchase. You know, just enough to draw me in and then leave me hanging. My husband installed the app on his phone and all five are there. Cruising around the site I saw that many of the other New 52 books seem to running short as well, only showing about 3 issues or so. I complained to Comixology and they said that I could buy from them directly if I wanted and then "sync" my Fire. Well, I am very DISINCLINED to do that because now I would have to give them a credit card number to do so whereas buying from the Fire itself takes from my Amazon account where I maintain a constant gift card balance, safeguarding my credit card numbers. There doesn't seem to be any rush on the part of Comixology to fix this though I saw elsewhere that there have been numerous complaints. The whole thing has been a big bust for me because the comics was the primary reason I wanted the Fire in the first place. Amazon has some trades for sale but not much (at least for my tastes as I am primarily a Marvel fan and they made the deal with Nook instead). I have been pretty bummed over the whole deal. If any of you were thinking of buying a Fire to read comics on, skip it. :(

Well, that sucks. Surely, they'll get that fixed at some point, though. Seems like that'd become a big issue as certain series continue on.

Oh, yeah, that. For some reason I was thinking the name was something different. Cool that it was good, but I'm generally not too into the whole found footage thing.

Ohhhh, and I finally got to see Drive. Damn, it really was almost as good as people were making it out to be. It didn't top Hanna or Hugo for me as far as favorite movie of 2011, but it was up there on the list:

1. Hanna
2. Hugo
3. Drive
4. Source Code
5. Rise of the Planet of the Apes
6. X-Men: First Class
7. Midnight in Paris
8. The Descendants
9. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
10. Thor

Hanna was definitely a different kind of action movie. I hope it's a glimpse of where the future of action movies are going.

I just want to read the last two issues of Batman Dark Knight. :waa: ..but not enough to put my credit card out there. :p

That's such an odd situation, too. I mean, it works on literally every other device outside of the Kindle Fire...? Very bizarre.

I loved it, obviously. But it seems to be pretty ignored in general, from audiences and critics. I mean, I think those who did see it praised it, but everything seems to be pretty muted about it, though.

Someone out there musta said, "Oh no! Squeeks likes this! Better screw it up!" :p Just like how Marvel keeps killing off all the C listers I like. It's personal! :argh:

Amazon is ****ing up IMO not allowing the Kindle Fire to have direct access to the Android Market.

They are screwing up lots of things. Heard that some Fire people can't even get most recent issues of magazines they've subscribed to, never mind comic books. :( Makes me wonder how many people out there like me who got one for Christmas is regretting it. They sold tons of them from what I heard, more than the much better iPad this last Christmas season.

Paper and staples never have connection problems, kids.

Hanna was such a good movie

And the Girl with the Dragon Tatoo remake was much better than I thought it would be :)

yeah... i'm getting sucked into the whole buying books on my phone thing. it's just so damn convenient. and getting new content for $1 makes me happy. i wish all the physical books came with a free digital copy though, i know some of them do but i wish all of them would.

This was my pitiful attempt at keeping my poor crowded comic book collection from taking over my house. :( Epic FAIL. :p

Huh, never bought a hard copy book that came with a digital copy. (I do wish to point out that for reading books, my regular Kindle DX is far superior to the Fire. Longer battery life, no burning of the eyes from a backlit screen. I love my DX!)

Marvel's starting to do that with some of their comics. Seems like the ones they're expecting to be big sellers, like Avenging Spider-Man and A vs. X.

I knew the Kindle Fire would suck.

I wouldn't say it sucks but IMO it's too Amazon oriented. It's an odd nitpick really but it's an Android tablet running it's own special version of Android who only allows you to use Amazon Marketplace apps, pretty much cutting off 1,000's of apps and support for said apps (see Squeekness).

Blurgh. I hate throwing up, especially when I don't know why I'm doing it. :csad:

It's true, we had a meeting and everything.
