How so? I liked Avatar, I thought the effects were great. At the same time I saw the movie in both 3-D and regular 2-D and let me tell you, 3-D added nothing. Also, it was a good movie, but should not have been anywhere near an awards show.

Really, maybe I was expecting more but I don't really like 3-D all that much anyway. The best use of 3-D IMO was for the the freaking Transformers trailer before Tron.

Oh well, I guess I shouldn't have said new because I'm not sure how new it actually is, but here's the one I was talking about:

Chistopher Robin is going to find Eeyore hanging from that tree one day. Tiggers boss he was my favourite.

WB was handed the blueprint for a successful franchise when Nolan agreed to do Batman. There has to be some respected director out there that is just waiting for WB to let them do their thing on a comic franchise.

I still can't understand how they messed up Jonah Hex. That is one of the more easy characters to adapt

The only thing Snyder has me hoping for is a Superman movie with good fight scenes for once. None of that Moon crap, throwing chest emblems at people, or getting your teeth kiced in my one half of Harold & Kumar.

Or rebuilding the great wall of china with magic eye lazers. Seriously they need to just let the audience know what set of powers Superman has and stick with it. Also in a fight I want to see him use heat vision/ice breathe/super speed and stuff. All he does is fly and punch things half the time.

Captain America, man I have a lot of emotional investment into that movie.

Even if that got a critical ass kicking like Green Lantern I would still expect it to rake in mad money. I guess those Patriotic types in the U.S will be queing down the street to see it.

I was watching the commentary on Blade Trinity with David Goyer (he co-wrote all three films) and he was talking about the first film and how they didn't have **** for a budget and that Marvel had to basically beg, borrow, and steal to get New Line to believe they had a good movie on their hands

I remember reading a interview with Avi Arad in Empire Magazine a few years ago in which he talked about going around movie studios in Hollywood trying to get Marvel superhero movies made.

He told one studio exec the Spider-Man franchise alone would be worth a billion dollars. He was laughed out the office.People tend to forget now that a decade ago comic book movies were still not seen as bankable or anything other than kids novelties to alot of Studio heads and execs.

Some of them still have not changed their opinion too.

Not really because GL looks campy as all hell. Reviews seem to back that up.

I haven't seen the reviews talk about it's campyness. I mean Thor was a very campy movie, but thats what made it so charming in the Earth scenes.

I think the movie will resonate will with the GA.....its Captain ****ing America

Yeah Captain America is pretty much the coolest Marvel hero there is, i just hope it has good amount of character moments, drama, motivations and action. I wonder since Baron Zemo aint in this movie (i think?) it's Red Skull who "kills" Bucky, after all Matt Fraction likes ripping off the movies and he had a Red Skull kill Bucky Cap.

but I really look forward to seeing Cap, from what Ive seen its pretty much going to be like Raiders, so thats an instant from me. The sequels will be seriously weird tho, going from a light hearted adventure type WW2 film to something like Brubaker is doing will be a little jarring.

Yep I think it will probably be the Skull who kills Bucky in the movie

They better. Baron Zemo is one of Cap's best enemies. he's such a deep and complex character, I remeber reading his "Born Better." mini series and actually wanting to cheer the guy on. it'd be a damn shame if they didnt use him.
