i'm not sure about it yet. the front flap looks weird and like you said i don't like the discs being used as cape clasps. he looks a bit gold too, i think they're trying to morph his costume closer to that of another character who is rumored to expire in the new movie

My other nitpick about it is that I don't think they should've lost the clear belt line. The torso piece looks more like a Roman molded chestplate that the loincloth bit hangs down from, but Thor looks better with the belt line to me.

loincloth...that's the word i couldn't think of...

I'm gonna be that guy and say I didn't notice any changes to the costume until someone said anything.

What costume? What are we talking about? Baseball?

Thor's costume for the second movie. Set pictures were posted online a couple days ago.

Heroin

Also, new rule. If you're gonna talk about something like movie costumes and, I don't know, porn, then you gotta show an effin' picture.

I like a good Scottish accent. On a man or a woman, really. For different reasons.

Maybe.
Scottish breakfast televison presenter Lorraine Kelly was given MILF status long ago in Britain.

The Glasgow Scottish accent isn't sexy though. No women no matter how physically attractive can counter balance that rough sounding accent.

Most unsexy English accents are Brimingham and Essex accent.

I like Katherine Jenkins and Joanna Page Welsh accents.

Heres Joanna Page talking

Yeah, there's only a few selective British accents that actually sound good.

Also, why is it so many British people downright slaughter the English language every time they speak? It's their own damn language!

All the different regions and towns have their own accents even if they are only a couple miles apart.
As soon as you leave the south of England the accents go crazy.

The Yorkshire accent for example which is a in the north east of England has its roots in Old English and Old Norse.

They say Nowt instead of nothing

This although exaggerated this sums up just how weird the Yorkshire accent is especially the word 'The'

Its been pretty warm the last couple of weeks in the south of England where they are filming so they must be rather hot.

Chris Hemsworth old Thor costume had a calling system built in.

The crotch cover is weird.

Looks like mud flaps off a car lol but I like it.

If Hawkeye ever goes to Asgard they should put him in his 616 outfit. It would be the only context where he wouldn't look out of place.

Alien vs Predator- Requiem is on tonight

The guy who finds a crashed alien space ship is remarkably calm given the circumstances :o

The crotch cover is weird.

Thor has to protect himself from near constant crotch attacks from Loki :ninja:

I like it. I'm not a huge fan of attaching the cape directly to the top discs, which works in comics but looks awkward in real life. But I absolutely love that they've finally given Thor some knee-high, relatively extravagant boots. That was the last major difference between the movie costume and about 90% of Thor's comic costumes, and I'm glad to see Marvel finally embrace that element. They actually look pretty cool, too.

I agree I'm really digging how the costume looks too Corp

What do you think of Christopher Ecclestone as the villain for the film I'm pretty excited by that casting

Has anyone seen Dark Knight Returns Pt.1 yet? I think its pretty faithful to the source material without coming off too static. Peter Weller (Robocop) as old Bruce took a lot of time to get used to because the last I saw of a DKR-type Batman was voiced by Michael Ironside and that was to me a perfect casting. Give it a look. It moves slow, almost like an Eastwood-directed Western like Unforgiven but its so well animated you'll be spending a lot of time admiring how well the writer and animation director adapted and translated the tone of the book to the screen. Even the Mutant slang was nailed perfectly in my opinion.

Regarding Ecclestone playing the villain, I'm not worried about the actor but rather the character he's playing. I'm not sure how the regular viewers can take an Elf seriously as a threat to Thor. I dunno. Corp, just how far up is Malekith on Thor's Rogues' Gallery. He's certainly not as iconic a villain as Loki or Ulik. Heck, only time I've read about Malekith was in Hercules and that arc was pure humor at best.

Not sure how they'll try to sell the Elf angle. Space elf?

You also have Kurse who's one of Thor's most powerful enemies to provide the physical threat.

Have they revealed any costume concepts for that character? I am curious to see how they pull it off.

Personally I'd have love to see Hela making trying to get revenge for her father Loki. Maybe if The Dark World really does well we could see a Ragnarok-heavy Thor movie.

Not to my knowledge, though it'll be interesting to see what elements they retain from his funky armor.

he ain't surtur, and if it ain't surtur i don't give a rat's ass.

Surtur should get some love

I want the Enchantress to show up as the villain in one of the movies too, if not this one then in Thor 3

Amora is :awesome: sauce
