Yes....maybe it's just a regional thing, but more and more jobs here in the northeast are requiring pre employment drug screening

my cousin, who works for a utility company up here, had a pre employment drug screening and has 2 random drug screenings a year

I would not think most hardcore drug addicts could hold down a job anyway.

Mostly its just the regular CBR (criminal background record) check over here. Even the cops don't do drug screenings.

I think it's more of a "better safe than sorry" type of policy....which I'm fine with

police over here have to do a battery of tests...psychological, background, and drug screenings
