I wonder how a guy goes from basic training to being a drill instructor. Like what has to happen in a man's life to turn him into a pain in the ass? I know it's his job but it takes a certain kind of person; I certainly couldn't do it w/ a straight face.

it's a process....you have to be in the top 2 or 3 percantile, have letters of recommendation from your superiors...their training is very rigorous

$50 on the video game tie in, maybe $100 on figures (depends on the size of the movie set, figure on 3 or so t-shirts at $20 each, $25 on the blu ray and i'm already at $235. now throw in some display quality replicas and that number sky rockets.

For real? Man, you know that thing is going to suck ass, or just be a cheap clone of something.

The rest of it, okay, but that's a ton of freaking money to dump into it all. And what if the movie ends up sucking? I mean, I hope not, but the potential is there.

ive seen some demo of the game and it looks rather stock....its basically going to be a third person beat 'em up in a Captain America wrapper

1- i still love the 1990 captain america movie, so it sucking most likely won't even effect me.
2- the game is an arkham asylum clone...but with captain america! it looks decent enough and it's exactly the type of game i enjoy. it's not going to require a week's worth of play time to complete and it's not going to be super complicated. it's going to be a game i can sit down and beat in 4 hrs on a saturday while expanding the world of the movie. that justifies a buy for me.

Academy's the only one worth reading to me, but I haven't convinced myself I've given Brubaker enough of a chance with Secret yet. I anticipate dropping it in another couple months or so if it continues to be this boring, though.
