Justice League The Wachowskis On the Short-List to Direct

Am I the only one who isn't bothered at all by lens flares? I really couldn't care less about them and I honestly barely noticed them in Star Trek (not saying that they weren't there, just that they didn't distract me at all). Yet I've talked to people who acted like they went into epileptic seizures and bit their tongues off while watching that movie.

Like the idea of the of The Wachowskis taking on the project. I can’t think anybody outside of maybe Edgar Wright who is imaginative enough to deal with such a group dynamic, myriad of powers, characters and costumes that each deserve the appropriate and faithful attention.

Really? You can't think of anyone else outside of those options? :o

When people make big deals out of such (little)things it's really a testament to how hard it is to find something significantly at fault with said films.

Not anybody better. I mean Joss Whedon but that ain’t gonna happen, neither is J.J. Abrams or James Cameron. I am approaching this from who would realistically take on the project. I’m not just going to spit out names. Now could I net be thinking of someone? Sure, of course. Nobody knew how good of a job Jon Favreau would do with Iron Man. That said of the plausible names floating around The Wachowskis do hit the top of the list in my mind.

Maybe Zack Snyder if he does a good job with Superman, Tarsem Singh? Jonathan Liebesman? Guillermo del Toro? Neil Burger? Tony Gilroy? Walter Hill?

I'm kind of having a hard time unless there is an up and comer that I'm not aware of (totally possible)

Joss Whedon was a better fit for Marvel Studios, and it worked out beautifully. However, he's one of the last directors I would want to helm Justice League. Whedon has never been a personal favorite of mine.

In my mind, there are several great candidates for Justice League, but the question is will a director(s) like The Wachowskis, Yates, Bird, D. Jones, Zwick, Abrams, etc say yes and/or be up to the challenge?

Honestly... the Wachowski's seem like the best qualified to me. They can do humongous comic book action. They can do character arcs. They can do deep twisted stuff... it's just making sure they don't try to do deep twisted stuff when fun is what's called for. Sometimes they be not so subtle, and it distracts from the story. I think they'd do great on a Justice League movie, and certainly they're the only ones I know that can make great characters and ensembles and have a desire for comic book action. A more artsy director would get the characters too, but the fighting and action would be more generic as they tried to figure out how to utilize the green screen evocatively.

And this movie will have a LOT of green screen.

It's funny how I never thought of them before, but they seem like the perfect picks now.

Paramount has Abrams all wrapped up in their clutches, movie-wise.

thats why i say get snyder watchmen and mos alone is enough pressure for a director's lifetime lol

Are you talking about fanboy pressure
Cause i wasn't. The pressure i was referring was on the immensity of such a project.

^watchmen literally aged snyder like 10 years

watchmen was a huge project to take on a project of the unfilmable graphic novel and one of the most beloved novels of all time

a project that had many high profile directors and actors attached in the past watchmen is what i would call an immense project due to it's scale and over all complex storyline

True.
But if anything i think David Hayter should get the major credit. He's the one who basically churned out an adaptable script.
Snyder slightly changed stuff but like 90-95 % is intact.
