haven't posted in the thread in a while. I was sad to see Dale go since I like him but its great to have that sense of danger where almost anyone can go at any time. This could also lead to some development for Carl.

The show has really picked up these last few episodes because all the discussions these people are having are progressing and they are dealing with some strong issues.

its kind of ironic that they are dealing with the issue of putting someone to death in a world where the dead walk. That also shows them trying to keep their humanity and remnants of civilization in a world where the rules have broken down around them. Thats compelling storytelling.

Yeah, I may be one of the few but I loved Dale. He was like the old, reasonable, nosey grandpa most of us have. I was sad to see him die :csad:

Also, I really dislike Carl...not only was he the main cause of Dale's death but his inhuman treatment of the zombie by throwing stones at it. It's like the only time I've felt sorry for a zombie. I was glad when it got loose and grabbed Carl. I was literally sat watching and waiting for him to finally get it, like this:

...pity.

I liked Dale too, am very surprised when i see people prefering Shane over him, Carl was ok until now, i never found him worse than his comic book version, quite the contraire, but this episode made me find him a complete sadistic idiot

He's a kid trying to be like the adults. I don't get the big deal. Yeah, someone died and that's a big deal. But it happened because of an accident. Carl thought he had the zombie in a position where it couldn't hurt him and he was trying to work up the guts to do what he sees all of the adults doing for protection.

I like the way Carl is usually portrayed. He acts like a kid. Not a little adult or wise beyond his years mini person they way kids are often portrayed by Hollywood but just a regular kid who sometimes doesn't know what to do or how to act.

But...I gotta say...in the last episide even I thought he was pretty stupid. Even for a kid. When I was that age there was no way I'd f*** with something like a zombie like that even if it was stuck. I'd haul a** out of there.

Now the fact that he told no one he saw a zombie...that seemed like something a normal kid would do. No kid would want to get in major trouble for disobeying the rules.

Of course you wouldn't have done that when you were a kid, watching your Dad shoot zombies in the head wasn't an everyday thing. I mean, yeah, what he did was stupid but it's really no reason to hate the kid (not directed at you).

Yeah itsn ot like Carl intentionally wanted Dale dead it was just an accident. He should not of messed with the zombie and proably will learn his lesson.

I don't hate Carl. Even because of what happened. He had no clue Dale would get turned into a main course for some dead head.

But even as a kid If *I* were in a zombie infested world, despite my dad shooting zombies, there is no way I'd stick around messing around with it. Especially after what happened to Sophia.

I hope Beth makes it to the prison so Thomas can kill someone.

My wife and I enjoy this show very much and we too were very sad at Dale's departure. I agree with you that his character seemed that of a very wise and grandfatherly. Next season will be awesome with the introduction of The Governor! There are very few dramas on tv that are this intense. What is everyone's take on Randall? I think he will end up escaping and we'll find out he is just as vile as the group he came from..... your thoughts?

If Randall wasn't truly vile before that ass whooping he got from Darryl, I'm sure he is now.

T-Dog will have his DAY!!!......and by that I mean a gruesome death scene.

Who ever said they were probably keeping T-Dog alive for Governor to kill someone, I think is right. I'm sure he will go with Rick to check stuff out.

I still don't know how they are going to have the Prison/Govenor/Woodbury on AMC, without watering it down. Hell, some of the Govenor's stuff would push the boundaries of even HBO/Showtime...

I want him to go out like a boss.

Yeah, we'll see. I am curious to how early the introduce him into the prison arc. I was hoping we get Axel, Dexter, Thomas stuff first.

Yeah the Dexter part will be interesting to see if it makes it to the show.

They keep on talking about how they want to show how the humans are just as bad as the walkers if not worse...who proves that more than Thomas and Dexter besides the Governor? well up until that point that is.

Up to that point in the comics, It was [BLACKOUT]Shane[/BLACKOUT] definitely.

I said that once, but i doubt i was the only one saying that.

I personally think Randall will join the group and somehow foil Shane's power play. Last episode the director went out of the way to show Randall eavesdropping on Andrea and Shane discussing a change in management. I would hope they integrate that scene somehow. Also I thought it was pretty clear that Randall felt beholden to Rick for sparing his life.

That being said, part of the reason I love this series is it's unpredictability. So who knows? [BLACKOUT]Spoilers have indicated that Randall gets iced by Shane.[/BLACKOUT]

Maybe Randall will show up during the Governor arc and become the groups secret ally.
