Oh yeah and got to love the unlimited amount of ammo in that firearm they gave Glenn when he attempted to save Maggie from that platform. It puts Hershels unlimited ammo rifle from the season 2 finale to shame, but he at least reloaded.
That was a much, much better episode than most of the first half of the season was. They really decided to roll out the big deaths/life changing events all in this episode.
The first episode or two were fine but it quickly stalled from there when they went several episodes of passing only a day showcasing what the once again scattered group was doing. It didn't pick up until the midseason finale and then it was done for several months.I think TWD deserves alot of this kinda criticism but I also think you are coming down a little to hard on this first season. It really moved for me. Especially the start.
Agreed. “No Way Out” was a better mid-season finale than mid-season premiere, imo. It was a really good episode but it was basically the mid-season finale AMC delayed for two months, imo. Now that everything's been settled I'm really looking forward to next week's ep.Also kinda feel like this wouldve made a stronger mid-season finale than premiere. But... whateva. I'm not in charge.
Man this was tough to sit through, but the comedy in the episode was great. The walkers just popping into frame to kill Sam felt like a Naked Gun-gag, Carl getting his eye shot was also hysterical. Gabriel giving his motivation speech at the church was also hilarious, and then Rick's speech to Carl over soaring post-rock at the end was another groaner.
At this point I don't even know why I still watch it, either I like self-torture or I just want to finish what I've started. All those hours invested, I wanna at least get closure.

I don't have cable anymore; get my Walking Dead fix via iTunes. Do you (or anyone else) know where/how I could watch Talking Dead? I miss geeking out with Hardwick and Co after the episodes.Chris Hardwick is right. This was one of the best episodes of TWD. Even after all the chaos, that ending scene hit me right in the feels.
