The Walking Dead "The Walking Dead" General Stuff & Thaaaangs Thread - - Part 11

I have this feeling it's not going to be Glenn or Daryl getting Lucille's wrath as a lot on the internet has speculated. It's going to be Maggie, and audiences will weep in horror.

Maggie or Glen. Families never survive. They could pull the old switcharoo like they did with Rick/Shane/Carl.

But would they kill a pregnant woman?

They've killed several children throughout the show. I think they'd kill a pregnant woman if they really wanted to.

Yeah but walker kids are one thing, and maybe it's just me, but you don't think killing a pregnant woman would be too taboo? Especially the way Negan did it to Glen in the comics? Only other time I've ever seen a pregnant woman die on tv was the Red Wedding on Game of Thrones. But that was premium cable.

I wasn't talking about walker kids. I mean the likes of the two girls who were with Carol and Tyreese. One of them even went psycho and killed her own little sister. That's pretty hardcore. Then there's the little girl The Governor got attached to in S4. He blew her head off after she got bitten.

Ohhh yeah the "look at the flowers" girl. That was pretty hardcore. Yeah you're right, they've gone pretty brutal. Killing Maggie would dial it up a notch.

edit.

Now that I think about it they've been dialing it up since season 1 with kids and death. First kill was the bunny slippers walker kid, then Sofia, then Penny, then they dialed it up with killing non-walker kids, (the sisters and the one the governor killed). So killing pregnant Maggie would dial it up again.

It the right level of shock and disgust Negan should bring to the table. After the tease that was Glenn's death he's lost his death value, and Daryls too obvious a second choice. I would say they've done enough Rickless episodes to demonstrate the show can survive without him, but at this point I feel he has to get bitten before he dies to give a final monologue of sorts. And when that moments comes it's got to be Carl.

I still think it's going to be Morgan.

Maggie would be the most shocking (and at this point, most tragic) choice, though.

I hope Morgan sticks around for a while. He's one of the more compelling characters on the show, imo. Also Lennie James is one of the best actors on the show, imo.

Maggie is very possible, I have a hard time thinking they'd have to worry about another baby with the core group, Judith is enough.

I'm thinking if it is Maggie, it will not be shown as graphically as it was in the comic book, I expect a cut away before the impact. Also might as well end Glen as well cause her and their unborn child's death would completely break him, there would be no coming back for him.

I would laugh if it's Morgan. I can't stand the character he's become.

I loved Morgan before this season. Nobody challenges my Queen Carol, though. lol.

Seriously though, even without Carol, I hate what Morgan has become. I understand wanting to maintain your sanity while everything else around you is insane, and I understand wanting to feel like a compassionate human in a world that is lacking compassion ... But he's being a selfish idiot. He's basically sacrificing innocent people because he goes out of his way to let the bad ones go; he's even willing to injure the people protecting the innocents (like Carol) for his stupid cause as well.

Eff Morgan. I hope he takes a bat to the skull. I'll cheer if it happens. I've been loving season 6 for the most part, but I hate what the writers have done to Morgan.

Huh. Can't think of who she'd be playing. Outside of Negan's harem, there aren't a whole lot of female characters introduced in the upcoming era of TWD. Maybe she'll be an original creation.

Hopefully we'll get an answer.

She's 40 years young? And by young I thought she was in her early 20s. Damn she hasn't aged at all.

They only answered two twitter questions, one was a waste of time. I was too comfortable to get up and ask on the mic.

is this legit?

Spoiler

doesn't looks as graphic as the shot from the comic, which never really looked survivable to me anyway, so good I guess?

I hope it's legit. [BLACKOUT]Like The Governor's eye loss it's probably not going to be as graphic as the comic book version.[/BLACKOUT]

I've seen BTS photos of him and that thing on his face. It's legit.

This Week's Cover: The Walking Dead returns with 6 exclusive EW collector's covers

Entertainment Weekly said:
The Walking Dead returns Sunday with Rick Grimes and Co. attempting to escape a zombie herd that has infiltrated the walls of Alexandria. But for those who make it out alive, another threat lies in wait — the most dangerous adversary imaginable. Worse than the Governor. Worse than Gareth. Worse than that creep with the W carved into his own forehead. His name is Negan, and he is coming. And when he shows up with his barbed wire covered baseball bat named Lucille, bad things will happen.

How bad? Here’s what star Andrew Lincoln (Rick) has to say about the season finale: “I felt sick to my stomach when I read the script. It was the first day in the whole six years of working on The Walking Dead that I was late for work because I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I was so angry and frustrated and I felt sick. And that was just after reading it.”

He’s not alone. “[Hearing] the word ‘finale’ gives me a physical reaction because it’s the hardest day on set that I’ve ever had in my life,” says Lauren Cohan (Maggie) with a sigh. “I never even imagined that as an actor you could have that experience. It’s one of the most raw experiences that I think any of us have ever had. Andy talks about being late to work; I didn’t want to go to work that day. It took a really, really long time for everybody to feel okay again after the finale, let’s put it that way.”

Things are about to get bloody — and bloody good — on The Walking Dead, and EW has you covered for every step of the way with six collectible covers and a 25-page package on the hit AMC drama. There’s a preview of what’s to come, a roundtable interview with the six actors from season 1 whose characters are still alive today, an inside look at some of the most iconic props from the show, and a reunion featuring many of the most memorable folks to die along the way. It’s the ultimate guide to everything Walking Dead and you get all six covers right now.

To continue reading more on The Walking Dead, pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly on newsstands Friday, or buy all six collectible covers at ew.com/thewalkingdead.
It would've cool if Morgan had his own cover also. Oh well.

Bye bye Maggie or Glen. :csad:

I hope so. I really want to see Lucille go to town on someone.

It’s possible Maggie could bite the dust this season, but I think the character has been through enough already. Going off the timeline on the show I think it’s been maybe a little over a month since Hershel died and a couple of weeks since Beth died. She’s already stressing over her pregnancy and being unsure about Glenn’s fate (even though the viewers already know Glenn’s alive).

I doubt they’ll kill Glenn after faking his death by hiding under a dumpster b/c it’ll make that particular scene even more pointless than it already was, imo. Plus killing Glenn will really break her for sure.

I know fans are speculating her character possibly dying this season b/c for some reason they believe the show can’t or shouldn’t have two babies on it. But why do they have to kill Maggie to get rid of the baby. The writers can simply write in her having a miscarriage. And losing her first child could do some damage as well. Instead of killing her or Glenn I can see the writers taking the miscarriage route, but who knows?

Both Glenn and Maggie have been put through the wringer and have been through enough already. I’m hoping both characters and their unborn child make it to next season.

Based on those comments and the fact that Lauren Cohan has been appearing in more stuff lately only solidifies my feelings that she will bite the bat.
