A few times in season 1 of Breaking Bad...then they cut it down to a couple for each season. The last couple of seasons they had it bleeped out for whatever reason.

No surprise, another record night for The Walking Dead. This show is a walker horde.

“The linear television business is Dead and well,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “Thanks to Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, the other terrific executive producers and the entire cast, crew and network for working together to bring the fans (myself included) another Unforgettable season of ‘The Walking Dead.’ To see this show serve as the centerpiece of a truly historic night on AMC is truly gratifying. So many played a role in this success, across all three shows, in giving the fans a reason to continue to return in ever-greater numbers. And so we say, until next fall, ‘Welcome to Terminus.’”

Following the 9 pm premiere of “The Walking Dead,” AMC presented “Talking Dead,” at 10 pm. Hosted by Chris Hardwick, the most-watched “Talking Dead” episode in series history featured Executive Producer and showrunner Scott Gimple and, for the first time on the show, Andrew Lincoln.

Yea, they got what they deserved. Really tense scene though.

The way it all went into disorientation after the gun went off near Rick's ear really ramped the scene up.

After Woodbury and Terminus, it's gonna be more of a "surprise twist" if any "sanctuary" turns out to actually be legit.

Haha! so true, finding somewhere genuine would be a nice change of pace.

The Farmer Rick plot was all about retaining humanity for Carl's sake. For Carl to be a kid again. Like him cleaning a gun rather than playing with legos. Rick was concerned about how cool he was right after killing that kid from Woodbury.

But now that Dale and Herschel are dead, Rick is going full Savage Mode. He finally realizes that there is no going back.

That's been a through-line thought as opposed to something we needed remind of with flashbacks.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes.

I thought my eyes hadn't deceived with what was lying on the ground in the cage. They just better not be serving up Beth burgers. :(

Maybe its my imagination...but that teaser poster looks like light shining in through a church stained glass sectioned window.

I do see touches of what looks like colored glass there.

Hmm, its possible that Gabriel is a member of Terminus and he turns the other cheek when it comes to where their meat comes from. Eventually, he sees the errors of his ways and helps Rick and Company escape.

I'm thinking Beth's abduction had nothing to do with Terminus. Remember, someone was caring for those corpses, and the person who took her had a cross in the rear window. That indicates someone completely unrelated to Terminus. Also, running around outside of town and abducting people seems to totally go against Terminus's MO. They wait for people to come to them. They don't go looking for them.

So yeah, it's probably Father Gabriel who was hanging out at that graveyard, and being the coward that he is, he probably stuffed Beth into his car as quickly as possible in order to "save her" while ignoring her protestations, because taking the time to listen to her meant he was in danger out on the road and he just wanted to get out of there. If I had to guess, once things calmed down and they were away safely she probably explained the situation to him and they might've gone back the next day to look for Daryl, but by then he was long gone, leaving her no choice but to stay on with Gabriel.

At the moment I'm comparing her situation to Carol from the first half of this season. Rick kicks her out and puts her out of the way of the attack on the prison, so she survived it safely and was able to come back after it was all over. I'm thinking the same will hold true for Beth. She's currently out of the way safe and will come back after things with Terminus cool off a bit.

That's a good theory. Terminus has this really good setup going, so I can see it being Father Gabriel who kidnapped Beth. That would be a nice way to introduce Father Gabriel as the coward that he is in the comics. I'm looking forward to season 5. With the same showrunner I'm digging the long term planning with the show.

So is this Father Gabriel not a bad guy, just a coward?

Yeah pretty much, imagine if Hershel was still in that "We can still being them back from this sickness" phase. That's Gabriel.

I thought S4 was maybe the strongest yet, I'd have to rewatch S1 to say so for sure. But it was a huge improvement over 2 & 3 imo. And I didn't hate those ones, but life on the farm/prison/Mayberry got pretty dull at times. I think the show works better when people are on the move.

Did this get any better or more of the same? I gave up after the Carl wandering around in houses episode...

I know one thing I like to see them toughen up Beth next season. That is assuming she's still alive and not apart of Terminus' menu. She still hasn't proven to me that she's made (or adjusted) for the zombie apocalypse.

I know the price will drop but what in the HELL is Amazon thinking pricing S4 blu ray for $70?!?

There's got to be something off about that. This isn't the ****ing late 90s/early 2000s anymore where TV on DVD wasn't really a thing yet and a retailer could conceivably say "You want an entire season of the X-Files? Gimme a hundred dollars!"

So is this Father Gabriel not a bad guy, just a coward?

Pretty much.

In the comics his parishioners showed up and banged on the doors of the church to be let inside, but Father Gabriel was to afraid to open the doors and so Walkers tore his parishioners apart. He spent the entire apocalypse hiding in his church and only came out when he finally ran out of supplies, which is when he meets Rick and the rest. So he's essentially an Apocalypse Noob, and has no idea what it takes to survive in the new world.
