I'm re-watching the episode and just noticed that Carl told Rick"Shane taught me,remember him?"when he was tying the front door in the house,I heard Rick reply"everyday"but thought Carl was talking about Lori or somebody else.

Messed up..although still not nearly as messed up as"I'd be fine if you died",Glad he realized by the end that he needed Rick and not shoot him when he thought Rick turned.

I didn't get the point of that comment. All this conflict between them in this episode felt kinda forced, but he actually sounded like a lot of internet fanboys who are always on Rick's case for not being an efficient sociopath like Shane or even the Governor who "gets his hands dirty".

Do people think a zombie apocalypse could actually happen?

I could see an I Am Legend or 28 Days Later scenario happening where the "zombies" aren't actually dead, but real life zombies? No way. I don't see how true zombies would be physically possible, meaning a corpse getting up and walking around even though their organs are constantly rotting away or they're even missing several vital organs or even a head missing a whole body.

Thought it was a great episode and disagree with the notion that the tension felt forced. A young boy looks to his father to be his protector and on his dad's watch he lost his mother and sister. I think Carl losing Judith and being split from the group (his surrogate family) was his breaking point. I love the line where Carl scolds him for planting vegetables instead of being a leader- that was very powerful. I was very pleased overall and glad they didn't drag out Michone finding them, perfect close to the episode.

Loved the Michone flashbacks as well, always great to see a new layer on such a complex character!

I get a lot of the anti-Carl sentiment from last night, but I like how they structured it in terms of development. The end with Rick brought the attitude overload and withheld fear home for me and he realized he wasn't as grown as he thought. I still like Carl light years ahead of what he was early on. Although, I could do without that much teenage angst again for a while.

Loved the Michonne flashback. I didn't know they made knife blocks large enough to hold katanas.

I imagine next week's ep to be similiarly premised, but with the rest of the former prison crew. I'm going to need everyone to get synced up soon enough so whatever external developments can take place.

The original line was actually "Dale tought me". They mentioned that on talking dead. The line makes you hate the character. I knew where they were going with the whole thing , but a lot of my friends didn't understand it.



While I'm typing this I see "Tyrese" is on an episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

For me it still puzzles me how there can be so many still walking around after so long. You would think starvation and weather would end more than a few of them after this much time had passed. With so little fresh meat, not all of them could fee denough to keep moving.

Most of the time I hate Carl in both the comics and especially the show and pissed me off during most of this episode but I thought his scene where he thought Rick turned was great and the last scene sitting next to him wasn't bad.

Very glad he realized he still needed and wanted his dad by the end of the episode!

This was one of the best, and what I've always envisioned to make the series (on tv) be awesome. Carl is the ****, I just want more episodes of him being badass, eating pudding, and scavenging other kid's stuff from town to town.

The other cast is boring, dumb, and annoying.

For me it still puzzles me how there can be so many still walking around after so long. You would think starvation and weather would end more than a few of them after this much time had passed. With so little fresh meat, not all of them could fee denough to keep moving.

They explained in season 3 (when Milton was examining Michonne's pets) that they starve very slowly, so it would take a long time for them to die out from starvation.

Plus there are still more survivors falling victim to it - we saw a lot just to the flu - that just replaces whatever has already died off.

I thought this was a great episode, and from the looks of it, the next episode is going to focus on a select few as opposed to jumping everywhere. This is a good thing.

I love Scott Gimple. Dude acknowledges the source material while putting his own spin on it. And he loves him some parallels. (The walkers piling up on Carl like Rick in "18 Miles Out" and the opening tank shot was like at the end of "Days Gone Bye.")
