The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 1 "30 Days Without an Accident" Discussion Thread

Hell I thought that was Paul from the Wonder Years.

No, he grew up to become this guy:

Scott Gimple seems like a cool guy, and seems to get it, good balanced view of the show's direction. But with the shows track record, dust off that resume.

Wasn't the actor that played Patrick the kid from Chris Rock's TV show Everybody Hates Chris from a few years ago? Greg I think?

He's still got another half a season after this one, going by the pattern set previously. :o

Yeah I think the virus is mutating and his death seems connected to whatever killed the pig. Or he got injected with something by someone who wants someone on the inside to turn. But the latter sounds too complicated for TWD. :funny:

I wouldn't count the latter out, remember the Governor is still out there and would indeed want everyone at the prison dead. Maybe one of the Woodbury people are spies for the Governor who found a way to mutate the virus.

The ign review nailed my theory on the new disease. Daryl ate the pig, infected Patrick when he shook his hand after sucking his fingers. Zombie Patrick kills and infects many others.

Well, Kyle Gallner didn't last long.

I loved the zombies falling from the ceiling. It reminded me of the scene from Aliens.

Seems they're gonna make storylines out of some kind of sickness, and Michonne hunting for The Governor.

What I don't get is how there are still so many zombies around the prison. I mean, once you kill all the zombies in an immediate area (provided it isn't a heavily populated city), shouldn't their ranks really thin?

Where are all these new zombies coming from?

Is this a serious post? I dunno if you don't read the comics. Or just use common sense. They always walk around. They travel. Do you think zombies are just designated to particular areas and that's all? They just hang out there? They travel in herds, follow sounds and all that kinda stuff. Come on man.

Is that a serious response? Do you have to be such a jerk about it? Georgia is a huge state, there is a limited population, it seems strange that so many would keep coming to a prison in what appears to be a fairly quiet area.

Well my question is, have they tried not being outside if at all possible for few weeks, except maybe some stealth missions, if the heard don't hear, see or smell them for a while, wouldn't their hunger drive them to keep moving on?

I got the sense that the herds move rather erratically, since we see them vaguely drawn into a direction by a helicopter. How long before another loud noise sent them in another direction?

They sure seem to be stumbling across this prison a lot though.

Yep serious response. :woot:

I liked it for the most part. I just hated how it was so setup. It felt like, "see this, this is where the zombies are. See how you're making this clearly wrong decision, after we already know where the zombies are? Yeah, that's going to lead into zombies coming here. See, told you so".

But overall, I liked it. TWD is back! :)

Yeah, Kyle was just on there long enough to get ate, hopefully they can get some bigger guest stars than him though.

Next to Lauren Cohan, Melissa Ponzio is my new favorite lady on the show, she should be hooked up with Rick, he needs a little happiness in his life.
