The Walking Dead The Walking Dead - Season 6 - Episode 2 - JSS

Probably goes into my top 5 favorite episodes. Absolutely insane.

This characterization of Morgan seems to be annoying a lot of fans. For those ticked about Morgan's "no killing" policy. We'll most likely get a flashback or hopefully a Morgan centered episode that depicts how he got out of his "clear" paranoia, him crossing paths with a bo staff wielding cheese maker, and why he believes "all life is precious". And hopefully we'll have a better understanding of this zen Morgan. I'm actually intrigued by the direction they've been taking with Morgan this season. And am curious if he'll stay zen or become ruthless like Rick and Carol.

Morgan will have his own flashback episode this season.

I didn't quite understand the part where Carol has Morgan in chains. If these people want prisoners, why are they brutally hacking unarmed housewives to death?

It appeared really briefly, but a wolf or two did have prisoners. I guess they had been watching long enough to decide who to hack up and who to imprison or possibly recruit as part of the pack.

Why do I feel like Judith is not in the house? :(

Yeah, that girl is setting off all kinds of alarms. Subtlety is not something commonly seen on TWD so my guess is she's the obvious mole in the Alexandria who gave the Wolves intel and a breach to attack with.

One of the all time series best episodes ever. Damn!

Yeah it was a pretty stellar episode. I have the season ordered on iTunes, so I watch it a day late. My brother and his wife share my account so they asked me if the episode was any good. I told them "eh. I mean it has some important moments, but it's mostly just some Alexandria drama. It was kinda boring". I'm waiting for them to FaceTime me, yelling at me and calling me a liar, haha.

I hope it'll clear some stuff up. I love Morgan but the "no killing; there's a better way!" drama has gotten old. It seems to be TWD's go to argument when they need interpersonal conflict and after all everyone has been through, I just don't find it believable that anyone whose been in the thick of it would have that mentality any more. Especially considering these dudes were viciously murdering people without remorse.

Morgan obviously has a dark side that he's trying to repress. I wouldn't be surprised if he was just as ruthless and dangerous as the Wolves are. Could be the reason why he refuses to kill living people good or evil. He's basically at the stage Rick was in back in season 4, where he tried to shield himself from the ugliness of the apocalypse and his own dark side.

People forget how unstable Morgan was back in the episode "Clear". He had deathtraps, loads of weapons (possibly from people he killed), threatening and shooting at people (Rick, Michonne, & Carl) crossing his path in a ghost town. I'm betting this cheese maker, who gave Morgan his bo staff training, taught him this zen philosophy that "all life is precious".

I'm happy Morgan is getting his centric. I love the character. I don't mind his no kill for the moment. He's an interesting character. His morals seem to be where Rick's was before he went all Shane :woot:

man this was probably the most violent episode yet. It was hard to watch at times. Kept my attention and was a good episode. It set the bar for this season and I wonder where they go next.

How did Morgan get back so fast? I could have sworn he was right there alongside Rick (after Rick mercy killed that guy last week) when they all heard the horn…?

Instant transmission.

Bo staff.
Will avoid killing if possible.

He's Goku.

I'm surprise Rick and Michonne weren't closely behind. Maybe there'll be a scene where Rick and Michonne stay behind to fight off the hoard that broke away from the pack.

You know the episode was that good I didn't even notice Rick and Michonne's absence. Or Daryl's.

We had Carol which is why you didn't notice.

Just seen the episode, holy crap it was intense, the Wolves are ruthless, but they met their match in Commando Carol, she was so awesome this episode! I love Morgan but this no killing thing is ridiculous, especially when he lets the Wolf leave with a gun after telling them they didn't have any.

Was hoping Rick, Michonne and Daryl would show up, so hopefully they organise a hunting party next episode as the wolves definitely need to be finished off.

Carol is a goddess. Morgan needs to wise up and realize when you need to pull a trigger.

Carol is amazing, the progression of her character from season 1 to season 6 shows independence, maturity and putting her interests first. Shes making herself to be a key leader of the show for a few more seasons.

Morgan will need to use a gun eventually. I wonder what it will take for him to get to that point? What is the lore/reasoning for him avoid it in the TV show?

Sidenote: I need to give the comics another spin - its been awhile.

We'll be finding out what is going on with Morgan in the next episode, it is centered on him.
