Comics The Wolverine thread

I wonder of Ultimate Wolverine will get his own comic. Not that I'm all hyped for one, just curious.

It would be cool though.

I have Wolverine #1 wonder how much that is. I actually have two but I'm giving my Brother one for Christmas.

I would say 50 dollars or more [US] thats when Wolverine`s solo adventure, and his "Patch" persona came into view. Its considered a Vault comic,i wouldnt give it away.Buy him a House Of M issue instead.:o

I'm guessing this won't happen, mainly because of all the Wolverine oversaturation that's going on as it is. They probably don't want to have an excessive Ultimate Universe going on as well.

I dont know... pretty much everyone seems to see the Wolverine Oversaturation apart from MArvel. Im half expecting him to join the Ultimates.

Out of interest... when was the real turning point for Wolverine? the point at which his powers just got silly.

I was watching the X-Men TAS the other day, and Wolverine just gets slashed by Sabretooth. Hes still recovering in bandages and in pain in the next episode. He would have healed that up in seconds in the comic.. if hed even noticed it.
I just kind of find him annoying now, that hes pretty much unstoppable and immortal now. Hes got all his memories.. hes unstoppable.. hes got no drama left to him anymore. He cant even fight people anymore with any serious risk to him being injured.

I think my biggest complaint is that in almost all of his last fights, he lunges recklessly at the enemy without finesse and then gets swatted away like a fly. Where is all of his training? It's like the writers are too lazy to really do any real work with him. I want the old Wolvie back!

That's the thing with all the Wolverine stuff it's bound to happen.

I hope Hulk gets his own Ultimate series too.

Well, Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk came out today, I'll be getting it tomorrow. I can't wait. It sounds good.

I always liked when they went at it reg. or Ult..

I have to get that one comic of them and their dressed in tuxes and in Bond poses on the cover.

hey, what happened in ultimate hulk v wolverine then?

Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk was pretty good so far. It opens after Wolverine was ripped in half and goes into flash backs from there as to how he got there. I guess Ultimate Hulk has the strength to break Ultimate Adamantium.

Believe it or not,at alot of retailers, issue #10 goes for more than the first issue.

Not really.Ult Wolvie probably has a weakness at his joints as hinted by Jenny Walters.

Didn't know about that hint, I haven't been reading Ultimate.

I seem to recall that even in the 616 universe, under the Xavier protocols, Xavier himself had said that to kill Wolvie, one only had to sever his neck betwen the bones and then leave his body parts far enough away from themselves that there would be no way for them to reattach. In most cases, I thought, when a human "breaks" their back, the bones are not so much broken as they are wrenched so badly apart, the spinal damage is what is fatal.

I've thought of that. either way it's just a cool visual and just meant to be fun and way out there. I really like this so far. I feel sorry for those chicks if they try to do something with Hulk Gamma penis.

Yikes!

I wish they would've given Wolverine his Ultimate costume in the movie.

Actually I thought the comment about finding Hulk poop in Tibet was interesting. I mean, how do you know Hulk poop from anybody elses? Is it green and glowing? :D

Saw in the Comics forum that Wolverine will be having another solo series, this one dealing with his restored memories. It will be an ongoing Origins book.

The art looks like The Punisher.
It's the same guy. Check out page two of that thread, it has all the info on who's doing the book.

I would prefer someone else for the art. Everytime I look at Dillon's art I think I am reading a Punisher comic.
