Comics The Wolverine thread

The sword is the Muramasa sword. Its spirit possesses whoever wields it. You can see it in the very first story arc of Wolverine.

The second issue of Origins was pretty good, can't wait to see what happens next.

Great cover by Quesada.

Who's that on the Origins #4 cover? judging by the outfit I'd say Emma Frost.

I don't really know, maybe this mysterious wife that Winter Soldier apparently killed?

Yeah, but she was Japanese. This gal doesn't look Japanese to me. Plus he's got a sword at her throat. Viper maybe?

With Wolverine you never know ( reffering to the cover ), he's been with countless women, it could be someone new. But I have to adgree with ScarletSpider it looks like Frost.

Its Emma Frost look at the uniform its the same as emma's from astonishing.

No, Everything evil about Wolverine's soul was put into the blade by the cursed master sword maker Muramasa and when Wolvie uses it it amplifies his evil side, it is not the sword in the first arc of Wolverine, that wsa the black blade and if you remember, that blade tried to possess Wolverine, but it couldn't because Wolverine's soul had already been bonded with the Muramasa blade.

Thanks for the link, Foxx5. That will come in handy.

Yes, everyone one is welcome and if you have any suggestions for the site, let me know, I have been trying to make it the best Wolverine site on the net, and it can only be that if we work together

Well this issue showcased the rarely scene evil side of Wolverine. They showcase his warrior and good samaritan side so much that people tend to forget he used to be THE world's biggest a**hole as well. Like making The Punisher look like Santa Clause level a**hole. I really cannot wait for the next issue to see what Nuke does to him. :D That was some real messed up stuff.

I don't complain that he's in too many books. :)

Neither do i, but Marvel has oversatuarated us with good ol wolvie. They even poked fun of themselves in ish 42

SCENE: Logan in a bar ordering a beer
Avengers distress signal goes off
X Men distress signal goes off
WAITRESS: Jeez, they really keep you busy.
LOGAN: Feels like I'm in 10 places at once sometimes.

Maybe i looked too much into it, but i thought it was funny as hell

yes that what they implied, but I dont think we have to much Wolvie, truthfully I thinnk they ****e out Spiderman way worse. I heard some complaining that Wolverine had two main solo titles, I'm sorry, but spidey has like 6. why isn't there are this spiderman hate going around or is that whats next?

The thing is, at least Spidey sticks to his own titles and to the city of New York. When Wolverine is with the X-Men in Antartica, he's also fighting a baddy with the Avengers in L.A. while he's on a house arrest at the mansion thanks to the Sentinels.

He is only in astonishing x-men, new avengers and his 2 solo books. I don't know about you but I can appear in 4 different places all over the globe in a months time, especially since if I had a x-jet or access to military helicptors. In fact I think i could pull of 30 different locations, so the four that are shown in comics really isn't bad.

LOL, that is funny. :)

I enjoyed issue 42. Great set up, and the talk with Luke Cage was very powerfull I thought.

I just finished issue 42, and apparently when everyone is discussimg about registration, the only one thinking in getting the real responsable for the Sanford incident is Wolverine, he is going for Nitro, and is going to kick his exploding ass

I haven't read the fist arc in awhile, but I think at the end of the last issue they said you can read about the Muramasa in the first arc, that's why I mentioned it. Oh, well.

Just a reminder, this is the official Wolverine discussion thread, so please leave the other one alone.

Just ask Lightning to close the other one. :)

Nevermind, I just did. :)

This was very good! I enjoyed this issue very much. This is the ole butt kicking Wolvy that's been missing for a while. I like this better than the new Origins book right now. I can't wait to see what happens next. :)

With mutants moving objects with their fingers, and fire coming from their palms.. how the hell can wolverine compete with all that? He has no projectiles, and everything must be in close range. Some mutants can't be penetrated and others stop the penetration before it actually happened. Others can simply sit down and move things with their thoughts.

So what the hell does wolverine have that makes him so popular? He doesn't have the best of anything.. but he does use everything so well..

However, he does have something that has never been mentioned before in any of the comic books. Perhaps because of their limited knowledge about metal. His ability to conduct electricity. In fact, connected to a power source.. his slash could be so powerful that it would indeed blast even the toughest opponents that would leave them stunned for a few moments with several burnt scars on their chest.

However.. too much electricity running through him could end up killing him.. or melting his skin right off. Heck with the unreal imagination of the x-men.. he could just manipulate electrical force fields with his claws.. otherwise he'll just be a prettier version of a freddy krueger.. or some killer who lost his gun and found 3 knives instead.

He has an indestructible adamantium skeleton and an extremly powerfull healing factor.
