Well, Clarie is near Los Angeles, so it's certainly possible. However, here's something else to consider:
In the Canadian preview of the next episode, we know that Sylar meets up with the Mexican Wonder Twins. There's also a rumor going around that Sylar will kill Alejandro.
My guess is that the Twins storyline could tie in this way:
Sylar meets up with the twins, and learns they have powers and offers to take them to see Dr. Suresh, that he was good friends with him. Alejandro doesn't trust him, but Maya is willing to except his help. Sylar learns that, contrary to what he first thought, he did in fact absorb Candice's power to cast illusions, realizing that the power only effects what others see while he can see how things really are (which is why he thought it didn't work at first). As a result, Sylar kills Alejandro and absorbs his power, and then disguises himself as Alejandro to fool Maya. Because of Alejandro's power, Sylar is immune to Maya's virus and decides she can be a useful tool in acquiring other powers--by manipulating her to kill others with powers via her virus so that he can absorb their powers. If Maya ever discovers that her "brother" is Sylar, Sylar can tell her that she can't exactly run away unless she wants to cause a massive epidemic and that, because he has her brother's power, only he can prevent her from losing control. Also, it could be revealed that Alejandro's power wasn't just stopping his sister's plague, but that he could cure ANY virus, including the Chandra Virus. So now Sylar, ironically, a killer of Heroes, holds their cure. Of course, this brings a ethical dilemma for Mohindir because Sylar his a "monster" and yet is potentially the key to eradicating the Chandra Virus.
