Slavery was never abolished, they just called it something else. But that's besides the point. You don't think Snyder would go down that route? Have you seen Sucker Punch? Scantily clad babes fighting monsters. I think he would. Also given WW's last live-action film appearance, was her regular costume (although what looks like a mini-skirt):

NOBODY associates the Xena/WW with WW except for a few fans that post here. I have literally never even heard of this before in all the years I have known the character. You really think they will go down this route?

So you say, but that look has survived (with minor variations) for over 70 years now. Right up till her most recent appearances in the comics. How can it be stupid if that is still how she is drawn?

Also, you want her to look virtually the same as all the other Amazon warriors? How is that going to work?

Why does this look stupid? Tell me:

If it's because it makes her look hot, WW is supposed to look hot.

Oh honestly. If you've been lurking here (which you said you were), you know exactly what's wrong with this. Either you're being intentionally daft in order to get your troll on, or you haven't understood a single conversation in this thread for a while. It's not worth anyone's time to bother explaining anything to you. That's all I have to say.

Those were the words that he exclaimed when he created his account. My *****ometer went into the red as soon as I clicked on this thread.

As did mine. I think he might go straight to my ignore list. No point in arguing with someone who came here specifically for that purpose.

You must have never seen Lena Heady in 300. She was the most clothed person in the entire film. :whatever:

You sound more and more like a troll.

That's a good point about the greek toga. Even though that film was supposed to be semi-historically accurate (well, not really). That's what is mainly associated with Ancient Greece clothing.

Even if we put aside the sexy part, the skirt doesn't hide anything. As soon as she starts flying, kicking ass and performing all kids of elaborate acrobatics, he butt and crotch will be visible for the whole Metropolis. She will wear briefs under the skirt, so what the point, really. It just comes down to what you like more.

I agree, we saw these skirts a million times, it's gotta freaking go. Too boring.

Oh look, it's Xena.

Xena? Oh, that character from the TV series which finished around 13 years ago and would have finished over 15 years ago by the time MOS2 is on screens.

The same character which has had almost no promotion ever since due to the mega-mess of the legal rights to the character? The same character which most of WB/DC's target demographic for MOS2 probably aren't even aware of and probably weren't even born when the TV series first screened in 1995?

And Xena had MANY outfits in the TV series. I'm pretty sure one of them even consisted of a strapless bodice, panties and boots, so Xena has also worn the "classic" Wonder Woman costume. Yep, here's a poor screencap:

No matter what Wonder Woman wears in MOS2, it's more than likely that Xena would have worn something similar at least once. What is most important is that Wonder Woman looks formidable yet beautiful, Amazonian yet regal and that she doesn't appear to simply serve as "eye candy" for Batman and Superman to ogle.

Anything less than 20 years old is still pretty recent. Plus, teens aren't the largest demographic. Plus, Xena is a cult show, it's not like it has been forgotten or anything.

Even more reason why they should stay as far away from being compared to Xena as possible.

So you're saying she should cover up to stop guys staring at her? That she can't be respected unless she wears modest clothing?

Inane semantic argument. I'd highly discourage anyone from engaging with this catfish. It's pretty obvious he has no interest in a conversation, rather asking leading questions in the hopes of getting people riled.

It's cute...I used to do it. Then I turned 12.

Xena actually wore an outfit that was clearly based on WW. It was red and blue. I'll have to find the screen so I took.

There's not point trolling this thread because it is far too easy to troll. It can be done by accident, and frequently is.

That porn WW costume actually looks less porn than the David E Kelly one.

Isn't that....Sin City?

WW's bathing suit look has evolved primarily to objectify her for a predominantly male audience...as you said, 'to make her look hot'. Many don't want that to continue into the movies just because of the comic precedent. Let's just call it a more tasteful, mature approach if possible. It'll still be feminine, but just not as explicit.

Yeah. It's hard to imagine going from this

Plus lets not forget how DC doesn't like to mess to much with iconic. WWs costume has only lasted as long as it has because DC wont allow anyone to change it unless they want it changed. Gail Simone wanted to change WWs costume, Azz wanted to change her costume but they were told no.

The origin story for the teeny Wondy panties is simple: Superman grabbed her wrists and Batman gave her a wedgie.

Great post. This is what I like to remind people who think it's such an accomishment that WW's suit has lasted this long (and that must mean it's awesome! Lol). It's because it was not allowed to be changed. If artists were given more freedom, those panties would bite the dust a lot more often.

^ You know good and well that a certain amount of artists would draw her like Starfire if they could ;)
