I think its a shame that MST3K 4Ever had to quit as Darkseid. Personally speaking, I had no problem with your portrayal of Darkseid. In all honesty, I think the problem may be less to do with you and more to do with the character in general.

Yeah, everyone says we need more heavy-hitters on the villain roster. But the problem that comes with pretty much any cosmic villain in these RPGs is that they have to ALWAYS be the main focus of the game. The threat of any other villains becomes null and void, because a guy like Darkseid is so big a threat. And with much of the long-term plans for this season based around the schemes of various Earth-bound villains, Darkseid may not have been the best fit.

But don't let it discourage you, MST3K 4Ever. When it comes to RPing, you've clearly still got it.

I disagree. Big villains can be RPed, and rather entertainingly, but the problem exists in keeping them in the game for a long time. I like the way Johnny Blaze is handling Thanos over in the Marvel RPG, and not to pat myself on the back, but the way I'm handling Darkseid in the One Universe RPG. THey're kept out of the limelight so other major events still happen, but observers will notice the touch of their schemes and plots.

Darkseid is a major, catastrophic entity of a threat, true enough. Making him a fun character and enabling the other villains to have their time to shine is the trick.

The reason I went in the direction I did with Darkseid was that in all of the research I did with DC & various other internet sources they all kept saying over and over how Darkseid was in-debted to Superman at various points and that Superman did beat him in a straight-up fight last time they fought. I figured that he would be tired of being in his debt and that would set-up some killer battles with Supes. Oh well...now it's time to wait for approval on Captain Marvel.

Character you would like to play: Black Mask

Powers: None. Burnt face due to a mask burnt onto his face being torn off.

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): Uhm...villains?

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1. I played as him last season, but it got way too confusing for a man with only limited Batman knowledge. I wanted a fresh start.

2. I want a 2nd chance with Black Mask, I felt I played him pretty well last time. This time around, I'm slightly more knowledgeable (if that's a word) in the world of Batman.

3. There are some aspects of this RPG that the Marvel RPG doesn't have (e.g. a darker world). I want to experience these aspects.

A dark and vicioud character that might in some ways scare people, but still enjoy to read his posts. A reborn villain, not the Black Mask that you see in the comics but one that's been evolving slowly into a darker world since season 3.
