Yeah, but usually the animated versions have at least the same spirit and motives as the comic book versions. The DCAU and Smallville Brainiacs lacks that.

The concepts I mean was his style of speach or look. His backround is not what I was talking about, I use comics for that one.

I find it hard to even begin to compare the two, they're so different. S:TAS Brainiac doesn't have a single thing in common with the comic book version. They pretty much just made up their own character instead of actually adapting one from the page.
I think you mean coincidence, not irony. :p

I always prefered a Brainiac with a very cynical sense of humor and apreciation for Earth culture.

    i also like Smallville incarnations
    Braniac, Cyborg, Aquaman
they may not LOOK like their respected character, but their speech and actions always seem to fit well

The DCAU's Brainiac's actions and speech have never fit well with his namesake. Smallville's Brainiac at least has the right way of speaking, but his motives and actions are still waaaay off.

The comics Brainiac is confusing as hell, at least the DCAU one is consistent.

    yes, Smallville has it's oddballs
    but i love Cyborg's line: "Milk..does a body good."

and who could forgot this foreshadow?
AC: You know Clark, you should join the Junior Lifeguard Association.
Clark: No thanks, I'm not ready for the JLA yet.

Yeah. I think Smallville got the closest to doing Brainiac's personality well. But I alwasy thought Brainiac's motivation was to make the unverse all clockwork and borg like under his control.

I cannot remember much of the Smallville Braniac. Could ya refresh my memory? Was that professor guy supposed to be Braniac this whole time or something? I forgot so much. :(

Yeah, he was Professor Milton Fine in the show.
Nope. Comic book Brainiac is a would-be world conquerer. As I said before; an entirely different motivation.

Which is a dime-a-dozen motivation for a supervillain, if you ask me.

True. I actually think the best motivation for Brainiac is the one in the Justice mini series. The only reason he wants to take over the world is because that's the way he was programed. It's instinct to him, the same way eating or wanting to stay alive is insticnt to us.

Yeah, comic Brainiac wants the galaxy under his control or "preservation" and he was created as a Spy by those dudes on Colo or Coluo. Something like that.

Exactly. He has developed his own personality. He's got a sense of humor and a good deal of respect for the cultures of the world he visits. But he simply has to bring them under his control. It's his nature. It's why he hates Superman so much. It would be like someone depriving you of your basic nececities for survival time and time again.

At least, that's the way it is in Justice.

Hey gang sorry I didn't get a post for Lex going last night. My computer decided to give me some "issues" last night and after 12:30am of being on with tech. support for a better part of the night I gave up for the night.

I finally talked to my brother-in-law and he helped me resolve the issues my computer was having.

I will make one more post for Lex this season from the White House and trust me it will be one of the best Lex posts I've ever done. (IMO)
