Now, I'll be a shoe-in for the next play...insert maniacal laughter here.

You really thought it was good?

Does Bats have a security system in the batcave that would alert him of intruders?
Yes, he has a great system. But, Ra's in one of the few people who can get into the cave without Batman, or his vaunted security system, knowing.

Sorry for not posting lately. My computer's been behaving pretty damn erratically.

I have been thinking about something though; which do you guys think is a better title for our team of supervillains: The Injustice Society or The Order?

The title "Injustice Society" has history in the RPG & a number of the villains, but it gets repetitive, especially since the comics have been using the word "Society" quite a bit as of late.

The title of "The Order" is original and it has kind of an ominous and scary sound to it, IMO. Plus it's not as on-the-nose or cliche'd sounding as the IS.

I dunno. What do you guys think?

I kind of like "The Cabal". But really, I don't think they need a name. I hardly think Luthor or anyone else in charge would have that kind of flare for the dramatic.

That was one of the best posts I've seen in these RPGs, Question. You were EXACTLY like The Question! It was so passionately written, I'm curious as to how much of it was just being in character, and how much of it was your view of the world.

A little bit of both. Although I was doing my best to chanel a bit of Hunter S. Thompson.

I was thinking either The Society, or - for that old-school feel - The Legion of Doom, whixh could be shortened to The Legion, if necessary. The Order is pretty good too though. Perhaps we should have a vote. :O

The Order....It sounds like something Harvey would like,at least.I vote that.

Harvey would probably like Chaos & Order. And so would Harvey...

...He has a point,Harv'.

Quiet,Damn you!

Well, it was a very well-written rant, and I throughly agreed with it. So, yeah, I did. :)

My only problem with it was that I thought it sounded a bit left wing. Really, I see The Question as more of a centrist who agrees with both sides on some points and feels that they're both full of **** on others.

Personally, I prefer The Society out of all the names that have been mentioned thus far. It's simple yet also carries some weight behind it.

My suggestion would be to say something insulting about them. Something about them caring more about the rights of rapists and murderers than with regular people, or something like that.

Yeah. I mean, Q cares about rights, but when people complain about prisoners getting treated bad in prisons, he'd probably think they're full of it.

Yeah, if you want a good way of putting that. Listen to Richard Jeni's "A Big Steaming Pile of Me." It gives a good viewpoint of interpeting politics, which is essentially, "everyone who is involved, either in politics or, even, has a viewpoint, is an ass-hole."

The thing about that name though is that it's been popping up a lot recently and it's already gotten a tad repetitive in the comics (IMO), and calling a new team in the RPG by the same name is kind of redundant.

*shrugs*

I dunno, the Legion of Doom, the Injustice Society, the Order of Supervillains, the Injustice Gang, the Injustice League.

Any other suggestions?

The Cabal. Or better yet, why have a name? Just have each of the characters refer to it as they like. Luthor would probably refer to it as "our little organization", The Joker would probably refer to it as "the boring stiffs with cool toys", and Grodd would probably refer to it as "once this is over with, I am so eating these guys".

Every superteam needs a name, don'tcha know? It's rule #148 of the comic book hand....book. Yes, that'll do nicely.

I'm actually semi serious.

Why do the JLA have a name for their team? They just do. No real reason for it other than a common label for people to refer to them by.

How about simply calling them 'The Others'

Very spooky and mysterious.

And if their ever captured, and the hero asks them who they work with, the villain can honestly say...The Others. Sounds wicked.

And it gives nothing away. What Others? Is Lex working with other corrupt business men? Has Grodd got a team of gorillas or other animals. Is the government involved (Question)?

I was actually thinking of putting together a little "Zoo Crew" villain team with Grodd and some other bestial baddies, like Cheetah, Killer Croc, Man-Bat, and some others.
